The only thing more certain than death is that if a liberal accuses a conservative of doing something, you can be sure the liberal is doing it.
For decades, conservatives have been portrayed as anti-environment knuckle-draggers that want to poison the planet because they care more about green money than a green earth. The new documentary, Planet of the Humans, produced by flaming liberal Michael Moore, provides ample evidence it's the left that's been raping planet earth all along.

I thought the film did point out the hypocrisy that some of us have seen for years in the green movement. Decades even in the case of Al Gore. They do highlight how many corporations and billionaires are involved in the green movement. Follow the money. They also correctly pointed out how the “green solutions” pushed as the solution to the problem are far worse. That is true.
I disagree vehemently with the underlying premise presented in the film (the planet will crash because of us) and found the only “real solution” offered by the film was a massive depopulation event as the film concludes there are “simply too many people for the planet.” That seems to be a pretty extreme solution.
My other take..... why do billionaires continue to fund this nonsense? These people absolutely hate billionaires.
Exactly. They’re giving up on green energy production and turning their focus to population control. That does not give me the warm fuzzies.
In before someone asks why your review is excerpted if it’s your own blog. :)

Have you read Tom Clancy’s “Rainbow Six”?
A group of rabid environmentalists facing a choice between a drastic reduction in life styles or the elimination of most of the human race choose to unleash a pandemic. Only members of this cult have been innoculated...
I have a piece of *&?@ icon at the end and wanted everyone to get the full effect. LOL
Haven’t read it, but I have had thoughts about this current ‘pandemic’ and how it happened upon us.
Well-played!
I agree with your summary of the film, personally I found it entertaining and humorous....
Wind and Solar are doing far more to harm the planet than fracking or fossil fuels and quite a few “environmentalists” are enriching themselves by supporting this agenda....
The conclusion Moore draws is also insane, population control will naturally happen if we use up all the resources and continue to overpopulate the planet..
The reason Billionaires continue to support the Green Energy.....Money and Control...it’s at the root of all evil...
For population control, the Billionaires realize if the masses ever figure out their agenda, there will be no place to hide unless a bunch of people are eliminated...
Plus scoring some free blog traffic might make you enough money to go get your nails did.
Clever.
Another ridiculous assertion they made was that the planet has no more room for agricultural activity and food production.
This was absurd. Agriculture becomes more efficient every year and we can feed ourselves with no problem.
I do give them some points on the ethanol mess causing the deforestation of the rain forest. Ethanol from food stock is not a good idea and it suffers from the same inefficiencies as many other “green” solutions they have offered with subsidies and big money interest being involved.
The biomass thing was another area where I will give the film some points for accuracy in terms of efficiency or costs per Kw hour. However, living in the northwest we have very unhealthy forests that need to be thinned and managed because each summer we have wildfires that are quite simply awful. Too much smoke and too much destruction of our eco-system in our unhealthy forest, which are primarily feeding the pine beetles.
Ironically, most of the forest management types with the Forest Service and BLM have been recommending controlled burns, thinning, and other common sense management practices for years to 1) make the forests more healthy and 2) lower the risks of catastrophic mega-fires like the ones we witness every year.
I think chipping the wood up and fertilizing the forests is generally the more realistic (and beneficial) option, but in those areas where the wood is plentiful from forest management if they can make electricity have at it with no subsidies. If biomass does not pay for itself we should not do it.
Burning is necessary, as you say, to manage forests. But it can’t be relied upon as a means of energy production. Not sustainable, as greenies love to say.
If a nail place was open around these parts, you might be right. ;)
George Carlin nailed these folks long before Moore did.
My guess would be that the billionaires don't care. They have enough money to do what they want, and they know we are powerless to stop them.
Thinning the forest...
I live in California and had to pay the national Forest $20 for a permit to allow me to take up to 4 chords of dead and down wood. Couple years ago it was free. And I can’t sell any of it. And there is a “season” to do it... And the season time is like mid April till Nov. Stupid... Stupid gov.
Dont billionaires need us lowlife to support their lifestyle?
Biomass will never be “zero-carbon” emissions as it requires lots of diesel fuel to harvest, prepare, and transport it.
There is a clear alternative that is the best for the environment - cleanest, cheapest, and most efficient.
Nuclear power. Nuclear power is the option that most rational and thoughtful environmentalist are starting to look at again and that is a good thing.
Nuclear power can answer our electricity problem. Nuclear power can answer our “water shortage” problem as well with desalinization. Nuclear power is the future for the “greens” if they examine the problem objectively, but that is the rub.... I don’t think they are objective as most of them will easily come around to the “there are too many people” argument.
I am enjoying the thread....
It’s not about coronavirus, HCQ, nursing homes, and the totalitarian state.
Variety is good in these weird times.
Objectivity is definitely not a liberal strong suit. I have a couple of friends who work in the nuclear power industry...they’re all about nuclear power. But they hate Trump.
The problem with liberals is they swallow the mainstream info flow hook, line and sinker.
