Mrs rktman is picking up some bleach at the store right now so we can have a nice cocktail later.
I go through a quart of Tonic water with QUININE every week. Even enjoying a cruise in last week of February failed to infect me LOL.
Quart a week is totally insignificant, as far as amount of quinine equivalent. A quart an hour 24 hours a day might be meaningful.
I think he was being not exactly sarcastic but was sort of musing in a “wow, wouldn’t it be great,” “far out” type of way. LIke “wow, if we had something that disinfected us from the inside out, etc.”.
However, what he needs to remember is that the press is waiting to take anything he says and twist it into a weapon. Sometimes they do it by misrepresenting his remark, sometimes they do it by using only a partial quote, etc. So yeah, I wish he’d be more careful too. But at the same time, no matter what he says, they’ll find a way of twisting it.
Always remember the TOS episode “The Tholian Web” in which Chekhov and other crew members of the Enterprise are affected by delusional, maniacal behaviour (because of the gap in space) until Dr. McCoy discovers the antidote by using a derivative of Klingon nerve gas to dull the senses. And Scotty said, “Well, that’s what a good belt of Scotch can do for you as well”.
Interesting to see how ordinary things like that can be life savers and it seems that this situation is a lot like that scene in that episode. The media, of course, carry on with their petty and dishonest ways.
Anything that Trump is for, the commie media is against..Trump should say today that drinking bleach is bad, and the commie media will say hey it has its benefits..the only ones drinking bleach should be Democrats..and of course to destroy emails, right Hillary
Watching it live, it seemed like he was having a Biden moment.
I am of the same mind.
Trump is dangerously close to enjoying this process too much. He is becoming invested in the war against the virus.
I want to see him force the economy back. That is the only work that really matters mow.

Paul Ryan was the least of his problems, but he made sure little of what Trump wanted got through for two years. McConnell still won’t let Trump make any recess appointments. The Deep State and Hillary did everything they could to kick Trump out of the game before Election Day and then after that, Trump was the subject of additional Deep State prosecution and finally an Impeachment that just ended barely over two months ago.
I think your choice of words shows incredible lack of judgment.
I wish the President would take Sundays off. He needs a break. This 24/7 activity will not fix things faster.

To me, this time it is on him. It was a dumb thing to say. They are going to come after him with pitchforks on fire tonight and I hope he has the world's most sensitive verbal extinguisher at the ready.
Of course virtually everyone here will vote for Trump. And we rightfully think it's insane that anyone even considers voting for Biden. But we can't (and Trump can't) put blinders on to the fact the many in this country are very easy manipulated by the media. Trump can't go giving the media fodder to attack him with that will translate into lost votes.
