Do you personally know anyone who has died of COVID? Seeking real first hand info. Not my boss' cousin or wife's friend's sister anecdotal info.
I only know two who had COVID and both are no longer infected.
Both are over 65, one is a cancer survivor, and the other is overweight and diabetic.
Go figure.
im in “hot bed” Detroit...1 woman i know had it..very mild case. In the hospital for 2 days. Shes in her mid 50’s...shes fine now.
No
I wonder if the stress of knowing that you have COVID has an impact. Im sure it does. If you thought it was a normal flu and you didn’t have the media I think most people would just fight it. Life and death is in the power of the tongue
Im from southern NJ but now reside in SC.
Lots of family and friends in NJ and many friends here in SC.
We know no one who has been infected.
And know no one who knows anyone who has been infected.
Praying it stays this way.
No
No. Nor anyone who even has it.
My brother 2000 miles away said he knows of someone who had it.
My city of about 60,000 is reported to have had 22 cases. That’s 0.04%
No
A friend of my neighbor’s daughter.
She was 34 years old and lasted 4 days in the hospital. Had mild asthma as preexisting.
Pray anyone you know is put on a respirator as a last result. New York’s respirator death-rate is double normal, over 80%). Doctors have been killing patients by putting them on respirators unnecessarily.
The thought:
Ventilators - which can make inflammation in the lungs worse - are being implemented too soon and harming coronavirus patients.
In the most life-threatening cases, COVID-19 can permeate deep into the lungs and cause severe inflammation, making it hard to breathe.
Pumping pressurised oxygen into the lungs can irritate the organs and damage them further.
My wife’s first cousin had the virus. She self-quarantined at her home in Jersey and is now recovered.
Don’t know of anyone else.
I have a friend who died from it. Male, early 50s, very fit, had run dozens of marathons, no underlying health problems, seemed to be recovering and then had a relapse and was dead the same day he was admitted to the ER.
No.
My very good friend’s daughter had it (sent home from college in SanFran to Honolulu) but no one else in the family got it from her when she was sick with it. She recovered fine.
I’m 99% sure I have it right now.
3 days ago eyes started burning. Yesterday started to lose taste but it comes and goes.
Do not feel too bad but sluggish and tired.
My wife is fine.
She is bringing home a thermometer this evening
I know a whole lot who had positive tests, a few who were in ICU, but only one who died.
Yes, the father of a girl I went school with. He was 66. I know a couple others who have it, but theyre still ok as far as I know.
Yes, I’m sorry to report. A 69 year old nurse.
I live in New York City.
I know two people that have been hospitalized, one very serious, due to the virus. Both now recovered, although the one has to undergo physical therapy to re-strengthen.
Yes. Law partners wife. She was 90.
