And that hockey team did move to Dallas.
Ahhh yes Bucky Dent’s home run....what a fabulous time it was.....followed by dancing on the field after the Yankees kicked the Dodgers a$$ at the Stadium.....
Not with the addition of Ohtani. And ticket prices reflect that. But then Trout was boosting attendance as well.
MLB network has been rebroadcasting the Bucky Dent game. I am glad those pull over jerseys are gone.
Not so much the ‘fans’ but for sheer gall
The snow plow clearing the space for a Patriots field goal attempt
(I never did ‘totally understand’ why it had to be publicized that the snow plow/broom operator was a convicted felon???)
Maybe the Boston press just showing that someone could be rehabilitated and do good for the ‘world’??
He was a hottie......
They won the 1977 series at Yankee Stadium.
And the city that is still arguably the biggest hotbed of hockey in North America -- Winnipeg -- lost their team to Arizona right around the same time.
Hmmmm, I always thought his name was Bucky F-ing Dent!
Bad list is bad.
Pats fans didn’t make the list.
And as a Pats fan, I am offended.
Also, as a Pats fan, I will tell you true. Belichick isn’t a master mind. He’s competent in a field where all his competition are drunken frat bros.
Philly has the most lowlife sports fans in the country.
By far....
how low can you go when the fans mock a opposing team member who just lost a child.
wheres your son joe?
I did like when they taunted the Red Army team back in 75, “They’re Going Home! They’re Going Home!”
Chris Miller blasts St Louis Cardinal fans for being friendly.
“There are few things in sports more infuriating than passive-aggressive friendliness from opposing fans, and Cardinals fans have that market cornered”
What I hate are frontrunners, people who latch on to a team because they know there’s a 70% chance when they watch that team play over time they will win so the frontrunner can gloat about backing a winner - as if their fandom had anything to do with their success.
Primarily these fans flock to:
New York Yankees
Los Angeles Lakers
Dallas Cowboys
Notre Dame (college football)
Duke (college basketball)
However, some of those old school dynasties have been abandoned by a new fanbase that embraces the following dynasties:
New England Patriots
Golden State Warriors
Alabama (college football)
Ohio State (college football)
The NHL and college basketball don’t have a genuine dynasty for frontrunners to swarm to right now.
If you’re a fan of a frontrunner team because you grew up around them and was inundated by their fandom, you’re excused but the rest of them are just frontrunners that are so emotionally weak that they have to attach themselves to a winning team to make them fell better about themselves or superior to others.
Mississippi State fans are the friendliest people you’ll ever meet, but the chorus of cowbells make that the deadliest place to watch a game.
1. Oregon Ducks
2. Oregon Ducks
3. Oregon Ducks
Guess who number four is? :)
So were we in San Marcos.
We were doing that back in the early 80s in Lubbock.
