My aunt was upset this morning, she says that the media is giving Trump too much credit. She despises the President and says that if Peter Jennings, former ABC anchorman was still alive, the coverage would have been more soothing and she believes that Jennings and ABC would have been more combative towards Trump.
My aunt is very anti-Trump. She served in the U.S. Army. Very, very militaristic and angry woman.
What do you think?
She is a pit bull.
She is physically fit for her age.
She is married. Uncle is a bodybuilder.
Jennings is dead?
But I never knew?? I would have partied??
Please confirm, because if that is so, I’ll party now. Lord knows I’m stocked for it...and need excuses!
A...For most people, everything looks better in the rear view mirror. Our generation did things so great, but the new adults are whacked!
B...I have found that some of Trumps biggest critics are strong willed, independant thinking women. Why? Maybe they sense Trump is the kind of man they could never fully predict, control or dominate, and that knowledge brings back a lot of unresolved Daddy issues. A lot of feelings where these women don’t feel in control.
You must be like me. Since Dan Rather and Florida of Gore/Bush, I’ve never watched news since.
All dead to me.
But I do hate them all, so if they die, we should all excessively drink/eat cake. I have no cake here, but boy do I have booooooozzeeee after this shopping crisis caused by this virus hoax.
As I recall, when Gingrich took back the House in 1994 Jennings described that as the American electorate throwing a temper tantrum.
Wait until she finds out that Democrats are part of the evil satanic cabal. It isnt so much about the virus. They are rescuing children.
Yes, he passed away in 2005.
Jennings, yes, was ideological on the Middle East, but you can’t deny he was one of the best anchors around.

Well, I’m drinking to the aged death of Petah Jennings...may he stay that way for all eternity, except for rowing a boat with Michael Jackson singing Thriller, for all eternity, on a lake of fire....
I hadn’t thought of Frank Reynolds in years. It is hard to imagine a journalist with the mainstream media just getting the facts and reporting them. It’s a different world now.
So whats your question?
How can you convince them Trump is a good guy? From the little you have said, you seem to already know you cant. Dont even bother trying.
If they have some redeeming values, or are otherwise intelligent or interesting, then visit them, and dont talk politics.
If not, then avoid them. I have one or two relatives who I find so annoying, I avoid them at all costs. I dont advertise it in the family, as I dont want to be divisive
Very easy to deny. All left-wing propagandists.
My aunt is very happy and well. Checked in on her. Very happy to be living alone...in her house. Instead of elsewhere at her age. She reported that my cousins keep checking in, as they should. She is my last aunt. Tough as nails over 90.
I preferred Jules Bergman
Hopefully the hag (sorry) finds herself really hungover when creepy Joe Biden gets slaughtered in November with the full weight of the media, tech and Wall Street billionaires, illegals, unions and deep state Commies all pressing full bore to watch Trump win re-election.
Peter Jennings did have a soothing manner, as well as better journalistic credentials than George Stephanopolous, but if he were alive today, his broadcasts wouldn’t be any different from those by other network news anchors.
Where’s Les Nesman when we need him?
Since she already has Trump Derangement Syndrome, which counts as an underlying health issue, I think your Aunt stands a good chance of getting the Chi-Com virus too.
That doesn't make her a bad person. I'm a 72 year old female, retired Correctional Sergeant, and I probably swear worse than a drunken sailor. Inmates were scared of me. I brought one to tears once. My favorite response to an inmate who didn't want to do what he was told: "We can do this the easy way, or we can do it the hard way...but either way, it's going to get done."
Gosh, I miss being able to say that.
Yeah, I understand your upset.
I had a really really stupid aunt too.
Ditto here. I stopped watching much of Fox News when they called Florida for Gore. I never watched any of the other networks. I tuned back in on 9/11, and stayed with them for a while, sporadically watching the network from time to time after that, like debates, Republican convention and election nights. Couldn't stand O'Reilly, and gave up on Hannity. Once Obama was elected, I shut it off completely. I couldn't stand seeing his ugly puss on TV everyday. Last time I watched TV news, was election night 2016, and I tuned into Fox Business Channel. I prefer to get my news here, the same way I've done for over 20 years now.
