Something Is Not Right
Canada Free Press ^ | 03/29/20 | Ray DiLorenzo

I don't believe we are being told everything. Until we know, we could just as easily die from the cure, as from the disease

“Your mind picks up signals very fast when something is not right…you don’t always have to figure it out completely, you just know.”—unknown author

Something is not right. Too many things do not add up.

Both Covid-19 and the influenza virus are contagious viruses that cause respiratory illness. The flu in America, so far this season, according to the CDC, has caused about 46 million illnesses, 550,000 hospitalizations and about 41,000 deaths. And yet, we have almost completely shut down our economy to the point of approaching collapse because of a comparatively small fraction of Covid-19 cases caused by another virus from China. Instead of preaching good nutrition, a healthy immune system, supplementing with extra vitamins A, C, and D, our political establishment is pushing for lock downs, face masks, and pressuring our president into creating fear and panic. Why?

Right now is a great time for those who are critical of President Trump and VEEP Pence -who recommended Phase 2C to the states (if you don’t know what that is-well-it recommends social distancing and the shut down)- and who keep bringing up flu numbers to :

1) put your over / under on total deaths by September 30th (official end of flu season) for Covid-19.and

2) give the numbers of what you think the deaths would have been had 2C not been followed by any states (including NY or Louisiana).

People are real quick to criticize what they say it is not-but so far - I’ve seen very few quantify what it will be in writing-and I’ve seen fewer memorialize that for the record.

Here’s your chance. Be a hero.

Sean,

the 46 million flu sufferers is a guesstimate, a WAG if you will. No one knows for sure. Most flu sifferers bunker up at home and get over it. They don’t report it.

As for coronavirus, there are two parts and each part has several elements.

Part I: SARS-COV-2 is the designator for the virus
Part II: Covid-19 is the disease caused by the virus.

Before I get too far into the weeds, we note that this virus has tremendous infection power, much more than the flu. So it behooves us to appreciate the President’s actions. He’s doing exactly the right things, he’s doing a great job.

Actually, I’ll avoid the weeds right now and draw attention to the corollary.

The question is, “What is worse? The virus or the cure?”

The corollary and IMO the more potent question is, “What’s worse? The virus or the Democrats?” (this is not a joke, not meant to be funny)

In the meantime, I believe we are headed for a 10-day period of darkness where our cell phones won’t connect, internet broadband will be down. But the National Emergency Broadband System I expect will be up.

I will try to post a separate thread on that but am caught busy preparing so it’s up in the air at the moment but it’s important.

But the following list are all interconnected and part of a plan:

1. Coronavirus martial law type response (see Chuck Norris’s recent press statement)
2. More than 150,000 sealed indictments
3. Suspension of Habeas Corpus
4. Troop movements and activation of the reserves
5. 10-day Blackout

Friends and I are connecting the dots. Basically the highways and freeways will be closed except for supply and logistic vehicles and each vehicle will be inspected at checkpoints.

The Blackout is to prevent those under sealed indictment from communicating with each other and the restricted road movements are similarly to stop them from escaping. The suspension of Habeas Corpus is related similarly, there will be a massive roundup and detention without Habeas Corpus.

The National Emergency Broadband System I believe will be carrying messages from President Trump letting us know some things and keeping us calm.

So we need to keep our cell phones charged up for these emergency broadcasts. They will be useless for everything else.

And if there others out there that think I am whacked crazy, I don’t give two sh*ts from shinola what you think, the above recommendations are not harmful, they can only help whether or not the described events come to pass.

Yes, indeed. Very frustrating and infuriating. Just lost my job because of this stupid shut-down. This is absolute insanity. It’s just the flu dammit.

"It’s clear that the medical care industry if being strained to and, quite possibly, beyond its limits. Why does this not happen with “regular” seasonal flu?"

We assume the medical industry is being overwhelmed, at least in NYC, LA, and Nola, based on media reports. Yet thousands of medical workers are being laid off in flyover country because of governmental edicts. Go figure.

Corona virus is strain of the common cold. It’s not even as bad as influenza.

So, are you observing the shut down? Are you going out? Are you going to work? Are you hanging out with friends.

There is not a US lockdown anywhere. Go do whatever you want with whomever you want.

Literally...no one is stopping you.

There is one major difference. The coronavirus is costing us 2=Trillion dollars and 4 trillion in fed loans.
And will likely throw us into a recession.

Wrong is that the most ignorant people ultimately pick our leaders in this country and that one political party is very interested in increasing the ignorant population to exploit that fact.

“I never expected this level of insanity to prevail in this country. Even many in this forum ...”

It surprises me about some in this forum, but doesn’t surprise me about the country. Human nature hasn’t changed - security over freedom, fear keeps people from challenging authority, need to saty with the herd, as they have seen what happens when small fry steps out of line or just try to defend American constitution. Look at what happened to the one Congressman this week who wanted people to show up and vote in person?

“Live free or die” only belongs on license plates now. Nonetheless, we are being called to fight this in our own ways, as small as they may be. Something is going on, we don’t know all the facts. Expect however that if it is government overreach, nothing will happen except more loss of your freedom.

I was a teenager in ‘56 & ‘57, remember the polio event & the other stuff well enough. What I don’t remember in those years was all the businesses shutting down or the “shelter-in-place” stuff; it was business as usual. Now, we have a real mess on our hands & what will it be like when it’s decided we can go back to normal life again? I’m afraid for many that it won’t be normal.

Because this disease is 4x as contagious and 40x as deadly.
Low death count is because we’re actively averting it.

I agree. Haven’t contracted it yet, but cannot believe it’s as bad as everyone says.

Geezus H. Crimmany! People need to grow a pair of balls, get their sh!t together, stop clutching their pearls, crawl out from under their beds and move on with their lives.

Sealed.

Recently several hundred were unsealed but that’s a drop in the bucket.

Search internet for sealed indictments and you should find a heat map that shows which states have how many. The totals are aggregated suing pacer.gov which dockets them but allows no access to detail.

For sure some are MS-13 and others are believed to be involved in pedophilia child trafficking as well as some very corrupt officials and corporate execs.

More later.

The issue never was the death rate (even when it was projected much higher than it is now) - the issue was the level of hospital care required - especially intensive care. We knew from the beginning this was going to far exceed our capacity, thus the restrictions to “flatten the curve”. We are now on the cusp of a remedy (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TJdjhd_XG8&t=586s) which prevents hospitalization, so I expect this the end soon.
