I see nothing wrong with Sheriff Clark reminding people not to be complacent. Nor do I see how you see this a a big fail either.

Anyone who thinks that President Trump is going to win reelection in a landslide is smoking something. The Dems have won the most votes in 6 out of the last 7 Presidential elections.

Minorities and immigrants vote more than two to one Dem. Non-Hispanic whites,the Rep power base, are declining each year as a percentage of the population. In 1970 they were 89% of the population; today they are 63%. By around 2043, they will be 50% of the population. Immigrants and their US born children drive 80% of our population growth. 87% of 1.1 million permanent immigrants who enter annually are minorities as defined by the USG. 2019 marks the first time that half of the children 18 and under are minorities. Each cohort that turns 18 annually will be more minority and more Dem.

The 2020 race will be very close and the Dems will likely win again more popular votes than the Reps. We must win key states again like MI, WI, and PA to breech the blue wall. The destruction of the Trump economy will not help his reelection. The historically low unemployment rates for minorities will be a distant memory. What will the economy look like in September and October?
