In liberal billionaire presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg’s attempt to buy the White House, recent data show that he’s averaging tens of millions of dollars spent plastering the airwaves and the internet with ads. Advertising Analytics’ latest report revealed that the liberal billionaire 2020 candidate has been spending an average of $37.4 million on TV, radio and digital media per week since he announced his candidacy in November 2019. There was one qualifier: “[H]e [Bloomberg] was only off air the week of Christmas.” [Emphasis added.] The report noted that Bloomberg “has nearly doubled the cumulative total” spending of the Democratic field, “even including fellow billionaire Tom Steyer.”

I only watch Fox and a few of the channels that show old Gunsmoke and Perry Mason type shows, very little TV. And usually have talk radio on - no TV. I’ve wondered where all the Bloomberg ads were, but I found out they are all over the radio except for the talk radio, over the weekend. Nonstop.

I wish someone would invent a Bloomberg ad blocker.

Here’s what I want to know. Who are all those excited people standing behind Bloomberg in those ads? Are they computer-generated images? People paid by the hour to cheer for him?

What’s the deal here? Some conservative journalist should look into this.

1/3rd of Hillary’s entire 2016 spending.
And Mike hasn’t even gotten to Super Tuesday yet.
And Trump beat Hillary with half her spending.

One theory: Mike is practically pre-paying the advertising costs for the eventual nominee. He pays $1B in easy advertising now, the Not Trump gets deliberate free coverage later.

No kidding! Thank goodness I don't watch regular TV much these days, but I do watch YouTube at night for some of the gardening channels I like, and they've all become unwatchable because of the constant Bloomberg ads. No one in Bloomberg's camp seems to understand the downside of ad swamping. Even Dems are getting tired of the constant ads.

I find this whole thing disgusting.... all those millions
of dollars spent for.....what....?? this clown brags about
giving to charity, etc. but I wonder how much he really does
give... not that it is right or wrong, but I see all these
ads for Shriners Childrens Hospital and Saint Jude and all
the other worth charities that could benefit from some of
Midget Mike’s millions...yeah, he has the right to spend
his money the way he wants, but still...I think he is wasting
his money... he’ll never become President of these great
United States.........

My wife asked me if Bloomberg will quit. I said no and put it this way:

Imagine that I’m old, have $5,000 a month coming in and have $500,000 in savings, and my house is paid off. And it costs me, until november, $200 a month to run for president and flood the airwaves with ads? And I really hate Trump.

Why would I quit?

I read where Steyer spent something like $3700 per vote to get zero delegates.

Wee Mikey is going to have to work to beat that record.

I have wondered the same thing.

Since he has never held a rally, where was this ad recorded?

He has never appeared with anyone like these people in his ads except this unenthusiastic "crowd" of supporters holding his campaign signs.

No smiles. No nods of appreciation or agreement.

Just empty expressions.

Only public record of him meeting people was some diner with some TV judge and about 10 people around him while the rest of the people in the diner ignored him.

Also I believe that if you are a candidate you can spend as much $$ as you want. If you are not a candidate you have to abide by campaign finance limits. So no he doesn’t care if he gets any votes at all!! He just hates trump so much he wants to run as many anti Trump adds as possible.

So he averaged over $5.34 million in ad spending per day. That’s more than what many people will earn in their lifetimes.

He comes off like a misanthrope who can barely tolerate being around the people inhis ads. He reminds me of Howard Hughes when he was holed up in his room afraid to come out because of germs. The guy has no humanity about him at all.

Yes, pathetic that the self-described party of “against old rich white men buying elections” is on the cusp of being bought by an old rich white man. You’d think the party of “we know what’s best for you” could sort out their nominee and, as you indicate, pour the money into charity (which they want everyone else to do, at gunpoint).

Trump showed that message matters, winning against the Leftist Machine yet spending little more than what Mike has already burned.

My wife is a Democrat and the social worker at San Francisco and we’ve already gotten three or four full color separation mailers doubting Bloomberg in the mail

We don’t have TV and we don’t have Internet at my house because that’s the way I want it ( two young males in house )

and so it’s pretty hard to get to us.

Bloomberg has an ego the size of China and thinks that he can buy this election and of course the Democrats are corrupt and in general you could buy the election from
Them

but now with the rise of Bernie and the Communists they would burn down the house

Yep. I came upon my position when I heard a political pundit say that candidates don’t drop out of races because they don’t have the votes. They drop out because they run out of money.

And all that that implies regarding Bloomberg. :)

Think of what he could have done for the crumbling inner city schools in NYC with this money. He seems very reckless with his own money. Hate to see what he would do with ours.
