I watched a few videos of MLK to see what he was all about.
One interviewer was practically begging him to say that violence in the name of the “cause” was justified and he wouldn’t.
His message was pretty steady in each interview and he didn’t sound Anything like today’s race hustlers.
I know he had his issues with prostitutes and that was wrong.
But as far as a voice for blacks, he was 1000x better than the ones today.
It sickens me that most of the people who live on the streets named after him have No Idea of what he wanted and think he was likely a jackson or sharpton type.
What a shame.
MLK Day?
I thought it was NBA Day.
Skin color is not the measure of a person. There is no pure black anywhere in nature. There are no black people. There are no pure white people. We are all one shade or another of brown...except for albinos, who are pink.
Yes, grave injustices were done to Blacks in this country. No one reading this is responsible for those injustices.
Guilt did not get passed down to us through genes. Guilt is a personal thing, and is not transferable.
How about we give it a rest? It was a long time ago, and those of us who are living now condemn it.
Unfortunately, Black History Month really means White Guilt Month. It’s time to stop using that as an excuse for failures.
Just curious how many MLK speeches will include that he was a plagiarist and a serial adulterer?
