Educational ‘equity’ consultant advocates burning ‘most books used in schools’
College Fix ^ | January 11, 2020 | Dave Huber

The notion of burning books is, or should be, quite repugnant to those with an interest in maintaining a free society.

Whether it’s environmentalists setting ablaze a book which challenges man-made global warming theory, or conservatives putting flames to a progressive’s anti-white-themed offering, never should Ray Bradbury’s warning of Fahrenheit 451 be forgotten.

But in “equity” consultant Kimya Dennis’s case, she’d likely shrug off that notion — because Bradbury was a white man.

"Equity Consultant" our Post-Modern version of snake oil salesman. Kimya thinks "Fahrenheit 451" is a guidebook not a warning.

Most “books used in schools” are worthless. Worse than worthless, they’re anti-books that sometimes permanently drive people away from reading real books.

Where would these people be without Affirmative Action forcing people to hire them?

American can't be Great Again as long as Affirmative Action exists.

I just found out recently, taht libraries, including school libraries, are not carrying the Little House seires any more.

Why?

Because of cultural or racial issues or some such nonsense.
Apparently, someone had some issue with the way Laura Ingalls Wilder portrayed blacks and American Indians.

Beyond ridiculous.

Some textbooks are so bad, especially math books, I thought they were created for the tutoring industry.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Looks like any homeschoolers that own good, older books, need to hang on to them.

I'm keeping my Little House series. See my previous post.

Since the ed types aren't into teaching, just PC indoctrination, this does sound like policy formulation.

When I was in high school I kind of got the idea that my math text books were written by an author to whom English was a second language.

The Little House series is still in our public library system. But this is Minnesota, so hopefully they will always remain on the shelves.

I have committed the crime of not reading Bradbury, but Heinrich Heine noted, “Wherever they burn books, they will in the end burn human beings.”

"Dort wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man auch am Ende Menschen"
Heinrich Heine

"Wherever books are burned, people will burn."

In 1933, Nazi students in Germany organized a nationwide book burning.

The first thing that should be burned is this idiot’s so-called “credentials”. She is a vicious racist animal attempting to spread her insanity through the kids, the easiest target.

My brother undertook to tutor the son of his nurse's aide who was struggling in math.

He read the kid’s “math” book and declared it absolutely useless.

Then just create your own black schools with your own black curriculum. No one is stopping you.
