When I was in high school I kind of got the idea that my math text books were written by an author to whom English was a second language.

Some textbooks are so bad, especially math books, I thought they were created for the tutoring industry. My brother undertook to tutor the son of his nurse's aide who was struggling in math. He read the kid’s “math” book and declared it absolutely useless.
