The Supreme Court needs to stop hiding from this issue and make a blanket ruling - either the Second Amendment has meaning and is the ruling principle for firearms in this nation, or it is not. Democrats continue to deprive American citizens of their rights, while the Supreme Court continues to pretend it has more important things to worry about.

So wrong in many ways, but to start in VA. That is one big mistake.

““The law is the law. If that becomes the law, you don’t have a choice, not if you’re a sworn officer of the law.””

Officers DO have a choice. They are part of the checks and balances of government and can refuse to enforce laws they do not agree with, such as a law that says kill all law enforcement officers.

I have no sympathy for uniformed thugs who would participate in a violation of the God-given individual right of citizens to keep and bear arms, and I hope such traitors will be few in number. “Sic semper tyrannis” is a good motto for the people of Virginia, especially now that their governor doesn’t understand the Latin.

Once the rule of law is restored, I hope anyone who participates will be prosecuted: https://www.justice.gov/crt/deprivation-rights-under-color-law
The death penalty may be an option, and I am okay with that for gun grabbers. As I understand felony murder, I’d be more than okay with prosecuting and then executing anyone participating in this horrific abuse of power.

This is their Holy Grail - criminalize legal, non-violent citizens for what they have ALREADY done - acquire a firearm. This is an ex post facto law, which is unconstitutional and therefore invalid, and not binding.

Notice that they have NO intention of criminalizing the actions of criminals, and will allow (knowingly) violent criminals to keep their illegal guns.

Its amusing. Democrats feel that they can ignore existing Federal laws regarding immigration and marijuana but become incensed if others wish to ignore their gun confiscation laws and speech codes. Perhaps the shooting for CW II will begin in Virginia. The nation no longer has a common consensus of values to unite it.

If Trump sends in the National Guard to protect the rights of the gun owners he will win the election and the House and retain the Senate.
Not to mention saving a ton of money on election ads.

There is supposed to be a rally in Richmond VA on Jan 20, 2020.

This is the enemy’s turf and it could end up like the Charlottesville debacle, where the cops funneled the rightists into a gauntlet of Antifa, the cops then standing down.

I’m not sure that a rally in Richmond is the best idea. It should be somewhere on friendly ground.

This is an outside of the constitution problem with a very specific inside the constitutional solution.

History so repeats itself. The tree of liberty occasionally needs to be nourished.

Democratic House Delegate Lee Carter has introduced a bill which makes any law enforcement officer that specifically refuses to enforce Virginia’s strict gun laws open to immediate termination.

How is that going to go over with the police unions? Don't they have contracts that govern how terminations are conducted? I'll bet if the governor tries to fire officers and ignore the union contract dismissal procedures he will be slapped down very quickly by the state supreme court.
