The Democrats are facing a grim choice for 2020. Nominate someone who they fear can't complete a sentence and wanders off in his thoughts, or take one of the other contenders and face the prospect of an "electoral blowout" in the Rust Belt again.

International affairs professor Tom Nichols painted the Democrats' dilemma in the starkest terms. He first pointed out that Biden was never the kind of guy who "finished sentences; didn't get lost in his thoughts . . . He's always been gaffe-prone and a little uncertain."
Nevertheless, concluded Nichols, "are you going to go with that, or are you going to say, once again we're going to lose 100,000 votes in the Rust Belt, have a big electoral blowout? And that's the big concern."

Every political elite has a Hunter Biden like problem. It’s what their goal was in getting there. They were assured anonymity based on assured mutual destruction. The deep state loves it for its wink-n-a-nod blackmail benefits. It’s been a way of life perk back before savings and loan scandals. UNTIL TRUMP CAME A CALLING....
People in flyover have met the 'lessor versions' of that type: the bank president's talent-less wife who constantly throws her weight around... the small business owner's wife who thinks her husband's money gives her equal 'say'... Yes, that type is known to the 'little people' - and rejected by the little people.
In Hillary case she lacks her husbands political skills and charms, but has 'Saturday Night Bill's recklessness' and a dark mean spirited personality.
Hillary is dead in the water.
Michelle Obama brings more to the table than Hillary but will suffer from the same 'powerful man's wife' problem. That can't be overcome in the short time left to run - - and her effort would look like a blatant effort to have a third Obama term. She deserves better than to lose for those reasons - and her loss would take the party and her husband's legacy down with her. She would be forced into a position of defending the corrupt Joe Biden's and her husbands meddling in the Trump smear job.
NOT GOOD...
Until that's settled she would be a drag on the party and it's memory of itself...
