Have You Noticed That The Crazy People Are Starting To Take Over Our Society?

It is getting scary out there. In order for society to function properly, we need to be able to assume that most people are going to behave rationally. And when I was growing up, it was generally safe to make that assumption. But now things have completely changed. No matter how hard one may try, there is simply no avoiding the hordes of crazy people that seem to be taking over our society. It is almost as if millions of us never learned the basic rules for how civilized people should treat one another. Sometimes this manifests in behavior that is simply rude, other times it manifests in behavior that is actually dangerous, and if you are really unlucky you will personally encounter someone that has fully embraced depravity on a level that most of us never even want to think about.

Let me give you an example of crazy behavior that is simply rude. Not too long ago, a Reddit user posted a photograph that really freaked a lot of people out…

A female plane passenger took to Reddit this week to share a horrifying photo of a stranger performing a rude act during her flight.

The woman, who goes by WoodySoprano on the social media platform, posted an image of a traveler resting their bare feet on her headrest. Though the Reddit user’s face is cropped, her terrified eyes tell all.

“Going to be a long flight,” she captioned the photo.

This woman was never in any physical danger, but this type of behavior is incredibly rude.

Who would do something like that?

HOAs have been granted rights by the courts that completely ignore and violate personal property rights, and if you violate their rules, they have been able to steal people’s homes.

HOA's are signed agreements that you know the terms to before signing...

It keeps me from staring at cars parked in yards or window unit AC's... it ensures property value and allows us to maintain our own roads inside our gates.

I do not consider "common courtesy" to exist any long among most folks that would, in times past, prevent behavior such as street parking, 6 food weeds, or dead landscape.

There used to be a time when the people who flew on planes wore their Sunday best and behaved like ladies and gentlemen and their children were seen but not heard.....

All the evidence you need that people are getting crazier and more stupid can be gleaned from the way people are driving nowadays. It has gotten progressively worse year after year with no end in sight of people speeding, tailgating, running red lights...etc.etc....all very dangerous and all worth only of brain-dead zombies that want to jettison their humanity to get 2 seconds ahead.

Happened to me just this morning. I was in the right lane of a 3-lane road, going the speed limit (45). All of a sudden some idiot came up on me, tailgating. She then flashed her lights at me and honked the horn. I had the cruise control set properly, so I continued on my way. We came to an intersection, and flipping me the bird, she screeched into her right turn.

I thought to myself "must be late getting to divorce court".

“Then you should have no problem with anything anyone does...”

Now that’s a weak come back.

To be against one more layer of fussbudgetry and regulation isn’t the same as being for anything.

You may note that the Founding Fathers / Framers were against added governance except for what couldn’t be done locally (or more locally). But neither were they overly fond of lots of fussbudgetry from those nearby.

Moreover your beloved HOAs do not reduce or remove or replace any of the fussbudgetry of local government ... city that is. No, but if they did that would be something, yet what they do is ... just ... add ... more.

And frankly while you may want to live with a proverbial extra condom forced down on your neighbors in addition to what city, county and state already does ... I do not.

And I don’t appreciate the attitude whereby HOAs are forced on a minority of residents.

I’ve thought a lot about the old wisdom that good people don’t need a lot of laws to keep them in line but bad or surly ones do.

The more, “temperamental” shall we say, that people in a society become the more imaginative they are about what other ... temperamental ... people will do to annoy or harm them. It follows then that they will want more government, and layers of government, to protect them from their neighbors.

Ultimately such persons may end up trusting some far off government more that those they stand a chance to know because your representative is this idealized media packaging or some bureaucrat a functionary of some reformed responsible professional public servants (I.e. an abstraction of persons) while Ed on the local School Board, well you’ve known him for years and are under no delusions that his poop doesn’t stink.

We took judgement out of society. We, therefore, let in low standards.

Low standards were alway here. We just let them fester.

Indeed, wanting / expecting high standards became one of the ways to be called a fascist during the sexual “revolution”. Being a square on drugs seems to have been another.

No fault divorce was a pretty big mistake.

HOA's aren't forced on anyone. They're a choice and an agreement. They're private organizations like any club. You may leave at your leisure.

Reagan gave us no fault divorce and the first round of amnesty.

You agreed to whatever the HOA rules are before you bought the home.

I am unfamiliar with situations where HOA's are enacted after purchase of the home. In our gated neighborhood, it was built under the HOA rules from the beginning so all owners agree to abide by those written rules prior to purchasing property.

California was the first in this country with NFD.

As tor amnesty, yes, no one should ever trust Democrats or so-called “progressives”. Reagan trusted them. It was a mistake.

The old saying “fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me” seems to not be believed by establishment Republicans who think Democrats are their friends and that they should get along with them.
