Democrats have been scrambling following Wednesdays lackluster public impeachment hearing, changing the focus of their impeachment narrative to attempted crimes after Republican lawmakers largely decimated their weak impeachment case.
Wednesdays public impeachment hearing, which featured testimonies from acting U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor and senior State Department official George Kent, was deemed a bust by many, including Democrats.

Democrats have been desperately angling to get the new narrative to stick. Castro even repeated his point following the hearing.
Joaquin Castro ✔ @JoaquinCastrotxBased on the evidence that I've seen, the President did one of two things:
1) Either he committed extortion and bribery of a foreign official;
2) Or, he committed attempted extortion and bribery of a foreign official.
Either way, it's still a crime. @CNNSitRoom pic.twitter.com/AA3DrBdxEY— Joaquin Castro (@JoaquinCastrotx) November 14, 2019

Supposedly she cried during the closed door audition hearing. Expect a lot of theater today.
Impeachment was put in the Constitution in case a president murdered, raped, or stole big time. It was not meant for chicken $h!t accusations of wrongdoing.
The American public has enough working brain cells and neurons to realize that this is much ado about nothing.
Elise Stafanik will be the one to rake her over the coals.
Little Fidel needs to be removed from public life.
Bribery?? They got their money. The President got nothing. As I recall, the benefit has to go to him personally.
Another writer who doesnt know the meaning of decimated.
Elise does a nice A, B, C job....but Jordan nails it.
Hopefully she’ll talk in some little girl child’s voice in conjunction with the waterworks or whatever.
“When the entire House goes to vote for impeachment with the specific high crimes and misdemeaners I do not believe enough Dems will vote to impeach.”
The dhims will never do a floor vote on this. This has never been about ‘peach fohdie fibe. This is 100% out Ruth Bader Vampire. “Trump can’t possibly select a replacement if he is under investigation” The investigation will continue until january, 2025

Listen up stupid: "Extortion" is used in the language of legal jurisprudence.
The word has no legal connotation in foreign policy lingo.
We need to drive home these facts:
<><> Hillary lost, so Castro and the Dems are punishing the president.
<><> Castro would protect a foreign govt over the US (still dreaming of Azatlan?);
<><> Castro is putting the foreign policy of other countries ahead of the interests of the USA.
(Hat tip Political Junkie Too) Democrats are protecting the interests of foreign countries by using the word "extortion" to refer to foreign policy.
The Democrats are floating in the ocean and discovering their life jackets are leaking.
“Republican lawmakers largely decimated their weak impeachment case.”
I’m genuinely curious - what do you see as a misuse?
decimate
VERB
decimated (past tense) · decimated (past participle)
kill, destroy, or remove a large percentage or part of.
“the project would decimate the fragile wetland wilderness” · [more]
synonyms:
get rid of · eliminate · do away with · remove · suppress · exterminate · [more]
drastically reduce the strength or effectiveness of (something).
“plant viruses that can decimate yields”
Is that true that a President can’t appoint a justice while under investigation?
Oh yes he can.
It is about time for MPs and Federal Marshals to haul the people responsible for this coup attempt off to Fort Leavenworth, for ‘rigorous interrogation,’ followed by courts martial, and executions by hanging.
Nope.
