Meghan Goes Off on Trump, Rand: They Have ‘Blood’ on Hands For Letting Kurds Be ‘Slaughtered!’
Mediaite ^ | October 10, 2019 | Ken Meyer

Posted on 10/10/2019 9:49:06 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Meghan McCain ripped into President Donald Trump on Thursday for pulling U.S. troops out of Northern Syria to allow Turkish forces to attack the America-allied Kurds.

The View kicked things off by discussing Trump insulting the Kurds while they face attacks from the Turkish military. Trump’s remarks drew a rebuke from the panel, with Joy Behar remarking that “draft evasion runs in the family.”

McCain cited reporting of Fox News correspondent Jennifer Griffin, who heard from a U.S. Special Forces soldier who said he was “ashamed” by what’s happening in Syria. McCain said she was “happy” with the bipartisan outrage against Trump on this issue, and personally called out the president and Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) for cheering the withdrawal.

“There is blood on anyone’s hands, starting with [Paul’s], and President Trump, who’s letting this happen because there are people being slaughtered after standing with our troops in the Middle East for an extremely long time, fighting against terror cells. We are not entering into a foreign war! They are proxies supporting us! The whole point of having proxies is so we don’t get into another war. Have we not learned the lessons of 9/11? I don’t understand it!…These people are being killed and slaughtered!”

I guess fat Me-Again, daughter of a self-absorbed traitor, doesn’t know that there’s a world of difference between the Kurds in Iraq and the Kurds in Syria.

Well the Kurds are like the Appalachian people. They’re spread out over four countries(States). So should we give the Appalachians a country by carving up US States?

The Kurds had a State for three years between 1920-1923.

Treaty of Sèvres) gave them a State
renegotiated Treaty of Lausanne (1923) took said State away.

Notice the names of the treaties. First one is French, second one is Swiss - locations treaties were signed.

These treaties were mostly the work of Europeaners, mainly to divvy out land after the breakup of the Ottoman Empire.

Now people want the USA to carve up one or more countries to give the Kurds a State. Problem is, we’d be breaking the second treaty.

Erdogan actually wants to revise that treaty but I doubt it’s to give away land.

Sounds like a job for NATO countries other than us since we didn’t have a whole lot of involvement in the treaties to begin with.

At first I thought this was a stupid move by Trump. But our troops were not placed there to give aid to the Kurds in their ongoing conflict with Turkey. They were placed there to get rid of the ISIS Caliphate.

Mission Accomplished.

Time to get out.

It’s also long passed time we got out of Afghanistan. We’ve been there about 17 years longer than necessary.

Trump promised to get us out of these endless conflicts. We voted for him. We should not be surprised when he keeps his promises.

The Kurds are perfectly capable of fighting their own battles with Turkey. If Turkey puts boots on the ground, there will be a lot of Turkish soldiers pushing up daisies. I don’t think it is in our best interests to start shooting the Soldiers of a NATO ally or having them shoot ours.

The big question is why are you sitting on your fat a$$ and letting kurds die?

Megan, if it really means that much to you. The simple solution is, YOU hop a plane and fly over and join the kurds fighting a war that been going on for centuries.

The Turks under Erdogan are the ones doing the slaughtering of the Kurdish people, not US troops or agents. What is the United States to do, go to war with Turkey to punish them for their disrespecting of the contributions of the Kurdish militia?

Cut to the elements of the situation. Turkey is a most unreliable “ally” and uncertain “friend” on the best of days, and nothing that is happening is news to the Kurds.

I don’t think the military has women’s uniforms in morbidly obese sizes.

Exactly how many American soldiers does the want to die and how will it solve the fact that the Kurds and Turks have been fighting for millennia?

She could always put her money where her mouth is and hire XE (formally Blackwater) to help the Kurds.

Blame Trump?? We don’t tell the Turks what to do, they are an independent country with their own government. And here is a site that can inform everyone of the weapons shipments to Turkey in 1992 and on a ways.

https://fas.org/asmp/library/reports/turkeyapp.htm#transfers

And I believe that was during the Clinton era.....making it three presidents before Trump got there of which two were liberal/socialist.

She;s just another factless moron.

George H. W. Bush was still president in 1992, Bill Clinton wasn’t sworn in until January 20, 1993.

Look what Little Miss Muffett did to them! I know..spelled differently.

In the fantasy land of nursery rhymes, Meghan looks like she took the story literally.

Sweetie, what happens when your proxies start getting their butts kicked? Don’t you have to step in to save them? My point is that your (and your daddy’s) theory about preventing wars often just lead to other kinds of wars.

The Turks said they were going into Syria 20 miles.

Every Kurd with a gun and a brain should have gone somewhat further into Syria.

The Turks could have marched/rode in without a shot being fired or a bomb dropped.
