Simple, he got a lefty boyfriend.
Yes, he’s a poofter.

Some will say, he’s going for clicks, but that’s not what he’s reaching for.

I believe Drudge is no longer owner, therefore no longer in control of the content. I rarely check that page any more.

I wonder how much daily input Drudge even has anymore. He probably has a significant number of staff who do the daily work, and many of these may be left leaning. I’m not defending him, at all, and ultimately he has the final say, but I would not be surprised if staffers have contributed significantly to the drift the left.

A similar change happened with NECN (New England Cable News). It was straight news, with low budget production, until maybe five years ago when their format suddenly changed to NECN being just another Democrat Party mouthpiece but now, with big budget production. It looks like NECN was bought off. I hope it wasn’t ARRA money...

Anyhow, since I’ve cut the cable, NECN isn’t being subsidized or patronized by me.

Drudge sold the rights to his site (and his fathers site RefDesk) to Google some time ago.

There was an article with the details. It was done via the advertising platform on the site in a manner to limit exposure.

It’s not a mystery. Drudge is no longer drudge.

His top headline this morning is: “Constitutional Collision Rocks Nation”. It links to an article the actual headline of which is mundane, not rocking anything. Drudge is a pure hype machine. He (they) is reading his own press clippings and think they gin up a major news event by hyperventilating about it. He should work for the Weather Channel.

Most of the gays really hate Trump.

If Drudge is unreadable for conservatives, so is most of the news. Drudge is a news aggregator. He collects and promotes the major stories of the day. If the major headlines are screaming for impeachment, then that is what Drudge will run. He is the messenger, not the message.

The overwhelming majority of the news media has been running a war time level propaganda campaign against President since the day he announced his candidacy. I say that believing it is true and not a exaggeration. The solution is to figure out the truth on your own, and ignore the liars.

To be fair, his forte is fashion news scoops and the latest Lady Gaga gossip. Gotta go with his strengths, y’know.

Drudge got a big start from being one of the 1st to report about Monica Lewinski, back when the internet was just starting to roll. His website was anti-Clinton, and seemed anti-liberal because he crossed the Clinton vs. America line without liberals following him. Now he posts too many stories by some new and misleading news source, that wasn’t around a few years ago... I quit checking out Drudge a few years ago, because of he new news source.

Don't be so thin skinned. Drudge Report is a fantastic aggregator of news. Sure, right now it is more left than right, maybe often so, but it is a quick stop to get a gist of the news. I also like Memorarandum.com as it also gives me quick coverage, though more pro-liberal and pro-socialist. The so-called conservative sites are useless and unappealing as I already find much of that on FR.

My basic go-to sites are FR, Drudge, The Hill, Breibart, and Fox News. I then circle back to FR. A few other regular sites, depending on the news of the day. What about you?

I have not read Drudge since the turn of the century.

I have always thought someone had dirt on him, or what he thought was dirt, and he became their tool. Simple as that (for me, at least)

I used to do the same, open it every morning. Then I noticed the change and wondered if I was imagining it.

Stopped going there except occasionally. Read on FR how he sold to google, and it makes sense now why the links to all the liberal news sources. Now I removed the link.

In the beginning of the internet Conservatism reigned. Then the big money bought everything up bit by bit.

SAD :-((
