One of the cool things as I was growing up was that dinos were big bizarre lizards. The closest thing we have today is maybe the Komodo Dragon. This redefining them as bird ancestors with feathers just doesn’t cut it for me in the coolness aspect. It may be accurate but who knows for sure. I’ll stick with the big bizarre reptiles of my youth.

It can not be cloned because cloning is done from living tissue that has fairly intact DNA, like the frozen Mammoths. This dinosaur is so old that all the living tissue has fossilized into dead rock. You cannot clone dead rock.
