The Daily Oklahoman, 26 Aug 2008: Trust keeps Powerball winner a mystery. Only Lottery Commission knows who is now $29.3 million richer. A financial planning company based in Oklahoma City received $29.3 million Monday on behalf of the Zorro Trust, which held the winning ticket from the July 2 drawing.

There was also a computer malfunction that pre-empted the televised broadcast of the Sunday draw, and instead the drawing was held later and monitored by an auditing firm. The Daily article discloses: Trusts shield the winner or winners from public scrutiny. “We were hopeful that they would come in, but as time passed, we know they were going to form a trust,” Finks said. Instead, the July 2nd ticket of $29.3 million was paid out to a mysterious financial planning company, “Zorro Trust”. Coincidentally, on July 1st, 2008, Epstein also started to serve his 18-month jail term in Florida as Inmate No. W35755.

Looks like the DS has ways to get lotteries to pay out whenever they want.

As I understand it, Epstein was the winner of a New Mexico drawing also.

Every once in a while, something happens to open your eyes to the possibility that America’s government and financial elite are far more corrupt, immoral and dangerous than you ever imagined possible.

Epstein’s death is one of those events.

I assume lotteries are largely fixed to begin with. When enough money is involved, little is left to chance.

Odd... Whitey Bulger won the lottery and he was cooperating with the FBI at the same time... Hmm... So that’s how they pay their informants.

Yeah, an independent auditing firm. Probably created for the specific purpose of gaming the system.

Actually, the bigger takeaway here is that the US STATE DEPARTMENT during Bill Clinton’s reign was Epstein’s landlord.

Was Epstein US intelligence?
Numerous clues say yes.
Enterprising journalists will need 24/7 security.

While not impossible, I find the concept of cheating on powerball far fetched compared to cheating on scratch offs, or single stare lotteries.

Scratch offs - there has to be a database somewhere with the winning tix, what serials they have, and another database of where each batch of prints sold. I’m sure it’s obfuscated 10 ways to prevent internal cheating, like deidentifying patient records. But it’s there somewhere.

Anything is possible. Film the drawing beforehand, make sure there are no tickets sold with those number, but a ticket, pretend the video is live. But, as with most conspiracies, there would be a lot of people involved.

Really the only way it works in my mind is if the company that runs the powerball for the states is actually a movie-CIA type of operation - where everyone is in on it and they know the consequences of squealing.

That just seems far fetched to me.

Judging from the timing of this investigation it looks like some folks in Palm Beach were suspicious in 2014, maybe were looking into this case without being obvious about it.

Yeah, I remember reading that and being impressed by how easily connected people could infiltrate and corrupt the state lotteries which looked disorderly run at best. Administrators being assigned based on incompetence and party loyalty. The frequent winners were actually just middle men. Which would sure explain the ridiculous odds of one person hitting it big so frequently.

“the Zorro Trust, which held the winning ticket”

Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico was named the Zorro Ranch.
