MSNBC and CNN are revealing themselves to be more passionate pro-impeachment partisans than even the Dem presidential candidates! With the exception of Elizabeth Warren, none of the leading Dem contenders has called for impeachment.
But on Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski suggested it was the Dems' "patriotic duty" to impeach. And Adrienne Elrod, a former Hillary campaign aide turned MSNBC contributor, twice declared that Congress has "no choice" but to impeach.
Over on CNN's New Day, after Jeffrey Toobin declared that impeachment will not happen "under any circumstances" Alisyn Camerota reacted almost angrily: "Well I don't know about that, Jeffrey . . . I think that the feeling is today . . . is that if you don't do something [impeach], if you're Congress and you don't do something, then you're saying that the President is above the law."

Fox will be joining them if they continue to go left with Baer and Wallace. Second, no conservatives I know are going to watch any democrat townhalls or rallies. It will be Trump’s 2020 rallies that bring in the ratings.

For impeachment, they'll be no more constrained than before but their goal remains the same, nonetheless, if they dare. Impeachment requires one or more "high crimes and[/or] misdemeanors."
This time around, no Strzok or McCabe will be able to pretend that the emanations of a counter-intel probe could be interpreted as PDJT helping Russians to overturn Wisconsin or Michigan or Florida's election results.
"What could they possible throw against the wall?" you ask. Since the House has no Controlling Legal Authority (to borrow a phrase from that great legal mind, AlGore *hack, ptui*) in their voting on an impeachment, the implication on which they pose, ready to claim, is: A high crime or misdemeanor is whatever the hell we say it is and there's nothing you can do about it!
Well, in some sense, they'd be correct. There is little the populace or courts could do to overturn an impeachment vote once it's taken--no matter how wrong their interpretation is. However, US voters needn't feel compelled to vote for any Dem House candidate for the 2020 election, either.
The Senate would make short work of any frivolous impeachment article(s), making the House Dems eat crow and look bad, despite the inevitable media spin machine.
So, would they take such a risk on a self-defined "flyer" to impeach PDJT, knowing there can be no removal? Since therein does lie quite a bit of ultimate "Controlling [ ] Authority," I'm sure the answer is "no" given what we know today.
Only their progressive trial balloons like Fauxcahontas are that irredeemably stupid. At the same time, I'm sure they'll allow more outlier trial balloons to be launched--to distract from their lack of agenda to move the country forward in the interests of its voters.
Exactly why is this a surprise? There is no way that other than making sound and fury, there are more than a few of the most extreme Democrats who are pushing impeachment. That being the case, the plan for the Deep State is for the enemedia to do the impeachment. This gives the DemonRats all the benefits of doing impeachment and none of the downside.
The media is helping to destroy their party, so...all good.
