Pinging the list again, sorry if too much! This time posting my recipe (or suggestions) for pain liniment. The addition of camphor and menthol really help, we use this a lot. If you try this, you can adjust the proportions of EOs to the water/alcohol to your liking.
Essential oil base for pain liniment.
To a 4 oz bottle, add a couple of teaspoons of this base, and top off with half water and have 190 proof alcohol, or top off with vodka. Shake well. I have since found that adding natural camphor crystals and menthol crystals really give it a huge punch. Add the crystals at your discretion, I just dumped in without measuring! I bought both crystals on Amazon. This is a LOT of varied EOs and I am sure some can be skipped if you don’t have them. It’s sort of overkill.

1 Clove
1 Cinnamon

Links to the crystals on amazon, it is vital to get natural camphor, the industrial kind is toxic.

How about for a headache?
Thanks L.J.! Note that Wintegreen contains salicylic acid, the main consituant in asprin, a natual pain killer!
I remember an older gentleman very long ago. Who would mix camphor and menthol in used half pint liquor bottles. He surly added liquor too. It was used for pain. And also rubbed on baby tummies for colic.
And I bet that smells heavenly too!
Double healing!
