Proctor & Gamble CEO Doubles Down on Gillette Ad: ‘There is an Issue with Toxic Masculinity’

The chief executive of the parent company of Gillette, which recently ran an advertisement depicting traditional views of masculinity as immoral and abusive, refused to back down on Thursday.

“It started a conversation,” Proctor & Gamble chief executive David Taylor said in an interview with CNBC’s Sara Eisen Thursday. “There is an issue with tox masculinity.”

Taylor, who spoke to Eisen at the globalist boondoggle in Davos, described the negative reaction to the video as coming from a “well organized but small number’ of people.

Proctor & Gamble reported earnings this week that beat expectations but the company continues to struggle with sales in its grooming division, which includes Gillette razors.

(snip)

Taylor did not explain how attacking “toxic masculinity” would help Gillette sell more razors to male consumers.

But, if they’re doubling down on the stupid, I’m done.

I gave Harry's razors to family members last Christmas. They LOVe them.

Does anyone have the Gillette address where we can ship their crappy products back to them? I’m not going to keep using their product, and I’d rather pay shipping back to them rather than throw it in the trash.

I don’t know their address but I’d donate the new ones to a homeless men’s shelter.

"Wasn’t so long ago a man was still a man and celebrated for it."

Not too many NHLers can start behind their own goal, carry the puck down the sheet, wrap around the opposing goal and stuff it in on the far side.

It was always way, way beyond me.

No testosterone but more than a hint of estrogen. Wonder when he plans to come out as a she?

I was a crappy skater and skier. P-poor ankles.

Only the great advances in hunting boots (and orthotics) has kept me in the game, so to speak, of hunting and fishing the high country.

I was born and raised on Cape Cod and my brothers and I were gaga for the Bruins.

I once met Phil Esposito while we were both standing and passed him as he was about to set down in the first class section. This was after he retired and were heading home from O’Hare. I was coming home for the holidays and he just seen him on TV the night before as a color commentator for a game.

I told him I loved his play and he said, “Thank you, young man” and then proceeded to shake my hand and engulf it with strength. He didn’t try to crush my hand at all, yet the tremendous strength of his hand could be felt.

And it was then I reminded myself how Esposito’s job was to use that strength as Center and remain in the pocket while the opposing goons would do everything they could to muscle him out of that position. He would not be denied.

I wasn’t good enough to play on any high school or JV league in Mass., but we’d go out on the frozen ponds and have a blast. Then when I lived in Japan in my late 20s, I actually practiced and played a few games on the local city team in Sasebo, Nagasaki prefecture. Had a lot of fun with those guys. I could speak no Japanese, but we could communicate.

>>> Why are there so many pansy men around?

Normally pansy men don’t bother me, it is ‘live and let live’.

But if the sob thinks a complete smear job on me and fellow men by his company is the starting point of conversation, then it is a whole different ball game.

Your question should be rephrased as “Why are there so many pansy men around at the top of the corporate world?”

I also like to use tech to drive my personal, recreational transportation. [at a minimum, 10's of miles/day, YMMV - ;-)]

I guess that's a conversation...former customers speak in unison when they say you're a dumb@ss.
