Any Walther CCP M2 owners out there willing to provide a review? Wife is considering it as her CCW gun. She has a elbow injury that reduces her hand strength. This was the only 9mm she could rack comfortably.
She does not like the feel of Glocks. She did like Sig but can only manage the .380 pocket pistols. Revolvers will only be considered if there is no pistol that meets her needs.
Her work area is starting to get rough but until the doctor's office moves (she is the office manager), she really needs to carry.
Highly accurate, easy to shoot (feels great in your, or your wife's hand, light trigger pull, light slide pull), easy to break down and clean, reasonably priced and extremely reliable.
Tremendous CC fire arm. Built off of the Walther PPK platform blueprints.

The Ruger LC380, or the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield EZ.
Both guns are 9mm chassis, chambered in .380 ACP. Because of this, they are incredibly easy to rack the slide, and with the correct self defense ammunition (Hornaday Critical Defense is one) the .380 is a very credible self-defense round.
Take her to the gun store and have her try out both.
My one cent, I have a Walther PPKS 380 that I have to send to Arnold Schwarzenegger to rack it for me.
The .380 is a good close up round and there are some good choices in carry ammo. The Leigh Defense .380 is my personal favorite.

What does this mean?
Ill back fini on the LC9. I bought one and liked it very much but went for the LC9S when it came out. It has a better but still very predictable trigger. Never a malfunction. I have small hands for a guy and it fits well. Nice radiused edges so nothing catches on clothes or holster.
Slide is super easy to rack and a good shooter.
Not a tiny, hard to shoot pocket pistol either.
Designed for shooters like your wife.
The second strike capability on the Taurus 709 is a nice feature too. I routinely carry the 740, the.40 caliber version of the 709.

Have a Walther PPS. I love it. I tried out, and have others, but it is the one on which I would trust my life.
I have a Ruger LCP .380, and some S&W’s, but my Walther is my favorite. I have a lot of mags for it, and I can shoot about 70-85 rds before my hand (and finger) gets tired.
PS Being able to rack the slide was my first consideration.
I liked a Springfield XD, but couldn’t rack it, and lots of others I tried..same problem.
Also, why I prefer a Saiga to a Pump in the Shotgun department.
See if you can find a CZ 82 in 9mm Makarov. Mrs. L carries one and loves it. The slide racks back super easy and it has a bit more power than the .380.
Drawback is it’s all metal and a bit heavy.

I love my Walther PPK in .22LR. It’s a great gun that for no apparent reason is remarkably accurate and seems to naturally point where I want to hit even though it’s not the same angle as my 1911 or other favorite handguns. The trigger pull for double action is insane (17.5 pounds), but it’s beautiful (6.5 pounds) if the PPK is cocked. I can’t answer your question, but the only Walther I own is a very nice handgun.
Racking the slide is about practice and technique more than strength...Has she tried the push-pull method of racking?
Firing side hand pushes the pistol forward while the support hand grasps the rear of the slide, but not covering the ejection port...Kind of sling shot technique...
My wife had small hands and rheumatoid arthritis, but was able to rack her Glock 19 effectively after some practice...May work for you guys, and find that more makes/models become viable options with this method...Good luck...
She may be as strong as she will ever be. I would look at SW and Taurus revolvers.
The difference between the LCP and the LCP II is that the LCP is hammer fired, and the LCP II is striker fired and has last shot holdback.
My wife carries a Glock 42 and loves it.
The .380 Shield EZ is designed for this to be very easy. You literally can pull the slide to the rear with your pinkie. Some gun tough guys may mock a pistol like that as a "granny gun", but they fill a particular market niche very well.
My wife wanted a handgun, but was turned off by the recoil of most 9mm and the difficulty of operating them. The Shield EZ is really fun to shoot, and very easy to operate. Great gun that does exactly what it is supposed to do. You can read reviews of it online -- I have yet to read a professional review that didn't love it, and it is really perfect for my wife.
Never touched a Walther CCP M2 - my wife uses a Taurus Slim 9mm....a little smaller than most but not as small as the “pocket pistols”....if you haven’t checked one out you may want to give it a look-see.
