“Extremely easy to rack, “

What does this mean?

With semi-automatics, you have to pull the slide to the rear -- "rack" it -- to then release it and strip a round from the magazine and feed it into the chamber. Depending upon the internal arrangement of certain components, and the stiffness of the spring, it can be quite difficult for some people to do this. A lot of women and older people can have trouble "racking" their pistol, which makes it unusable for them unless someone else does it for them.

The .380 Shield EZ is designed for this to be very easy. You literally can pull the slide to the rear with your pinkie. Some gun tough guys may mock a pistol like that as a "granny gun", but they fill a particular market niche very well.

My wife wanted a handgun, but was turned off by the recoil of most 9mm and the difficulty of operating them. The Shield EZ is really fun to shoot, and very easy to operate. Great gun that does exactly what it is supposed to do. You can read reviews of it online -- I have yet to read a professional review that didn't love it, and it is really perfect for my wife.
