Cindy Hyde-Smith, a Republican who was appointed to the Senate this year, faces Mike Espy, a Democrat and former congressman, in a special election runoff on Tuesday after neither candidate won a majority on Election Day. The election was held to fill the seat of Senator Thad Cochran, who retired earlier this year for health reasons.

Your quote is similar to mine...
We dont win every election, but we will win the close ones.
Damn that Party and all who vote and support them.
There are people here who hate her guts. But everything bad the Democrats had to say about her inevitably made me like her more.
This victory will lessen the influence of Willard Romney.
Roberts went to the dark side. SCOTUS is 5-4 lefty
She has to run again in 2020 in order to keep the seat.
She better not bail on Trump and turn Never-Trumper!
Counting the hours before it’s contested by the Dem loser.
After it’s contested, the republican party will just sit and watch as though helpless to stop the farce.
I hope that I am proven wrong about that.
I need to rent one, please give me the info.
My sources haven’t seen school busses from Houston or St.Louis for over an hour now. And the hundreds of extra reserve rental ballot boxes from Milwaukee, Minniapolis, Detroit, Philly, Atlanta, and New Orleans, and Miami-Dade and Orange, could not get restamped for Mississippi and shipped into southern flyover astro-terf country in time.
“After all the smoke is cleared, were 53-47 in the Senate...”
Hopefully a solid enough majority that judicial nominations can clear without the threat of Flake .... Romney may have other issues with Trump, but appears on board with the judicial nominations (many of which would have been his choices too). The new Republican Senators owe Trump a lot and should not be a problem at least for judicial nominees. The 2020 Senate class has more Republicans up for election, but really not much risk while the Dem’s will lose the Alabama seat. When RBG or another liberal Justice needs replacement in the next two years, we can have a generational change in Supreme Court rulings (and the battle will make Kavanaugh’s hearings look like a lovefest).
The House will waste so much time and energy with investigations that go nowhere and impeachment attempts that by 2020 they will likely lose much of their gains, ultimately control, especially if the fraud of the 2018 House election can be exposed.
Btw, is Ginsberg still hospitalized?
Well, I heard him concede and he offered his prayers for her success.....and I heard his supporters booing. Now I know concession speeches can be rescinded, but he did sound sincere (imagine that! A Clinton guy sounded sincere!)
Bye-bye, nevercindys!
Would it not be fun to learn that Roberts - who oversees the FISA warrant process gets implicated in it, that the abuses were done with his blessing and he is forced to resign from the USSC where Trump can appoint his replacement w/ Chief Justice position.
FReegards!
Good. In think in many cases, both candidates in a race welcome the final polls, regardless of the outcome.
Winning is best, of course, but both may just want all the work and the pressure to be done with, at least until the next election they get talked into entering. I’ll bet many have had enough of staying in character, and just want their normal lives back.
Then, there are the other type of candidates, those who seem to thrive on the chaos, pressure and overstimulation of a campaign that never seems to end. Both President Trump and Madame H. Clinton fit that bill. Both seem the most content when discontent, or fighting about something. Lucky for us, Pres. Trump’s desire to fight is working to strengthen, even rejuvenate this nation. Madame H.Clinton has dark energy, and lots of it. Were she ever POTUS, she would effect us in mostly negative ways. IMO.
It sounds, to me, more like Obama or someone high up in the democrat blackmail operation had something on Roberts. I suspect it’s nothing to do with him, would have come out in his confirmation process, but probably something that has to do with his wife or close family. Maybe even his kids. The LATE shift on Obamacare bears that out and the fact that the “dissent” was written like a majority opinion was a big, ol red flag that someone got to Roberts. He was ROCK solid before that opinion. If whatever they had is still being used against him is anyone’s guess but if it could cause him to flip on that why wouldn’t it still be useful to the truly awful human garbage in the demonrat party still today?
Darth Vader Ginsbork broke three ribs when she fell Nov. 7. This past Monday she returned to the bench for the Court's December sitting that began this week.
This is the second time the 89 year-old Justice has broken her ribs. The first was in 2012 when she broke 2 ribs and continued on with Court work as she healed.
She has not missed a day of oral arguments since she was appointed to the Court in 1993.

If Espy cheats this one out over the next couple of weeks, I shall call him “The True Affirmative Action Senator Mike Espy.”
There will, of course, be great risk of me being doxxed and having a cap busted up my ass. :-)
The democraps are busy at the airport rental car companies filling out the provisional ballot envelopes with names and addresses of the non voters.
