Reuters just published this article about General Motors planning to close a plant in Ohio due to there being less demand for small cars.
Trump responded by saying:
“They better put something else in.”
It’s not the job of the President to tell private companies what products to make or how many kinds of products to make.
Shame on Trump for trying to give himself powers that are not authorized in the Constitution!
Didnt Obama dictate what GM produced and didnt produce? And didnt he force creditors to relinquish their claims on GM?
When GM took taxpayer bailouts because they were too important to the economy and had too many jobs to lose they really gave up their right to close plants and move work out of the country. They made themselves a jobs program. Deal with it, GM.
“We believe the future is all-electric, GM announced in 2017...”
BS. Wind and solar power ain’t going to do it for electric. Only Oil and Coal will. GM’s full of BULLSH*T.

He cares about the jobs affected by GM pulling this cr@p.
This is how the left wakes up each morning by thinking imemdiately...
“Shame on Donald Trump for... well... everything”
Yeh - they can pay back the Obama-bail-out first. Until they do, it’s not a ‘private’ company in any way, shape, or form.
The shame is on the OP. Who the h does he/she think they are making pronouncements with no context or background & thinking that FR is stupid enough to salute.
Obama broke the law, turned contract law on it’s head, had favorite industries and gave out Government contracts to payoff donors. President Trump, mindful of the American people’s stake in GM, having bailed the company out, is rightfully disgusted at the company cozying up to China & stiffing the USA. GM better not expect sales numbers to be good in the USA nor any subsidies or accommodations to be forthcoming.
If GM wants independence they should step needing federal subsidies.
I’d agree. The bill is due. Pay up.
President Donald Trump threatened in a tweet Tuesday to cut off all government subsidies to General Motors, including electric cars, following the company's announcement of layoffs and plant closures.
However, it seems our drooling, spastic Ron Paul supporting blog pimp doesn't have anything to say about the subsidies. Stupid or ignorant, take your pick.
If they build zero cars or trucks, they will achieve this goal. Furthermore, if they continue on their current trajectory, that's exactly what is going to happen.
Hey Grundle can you tell what kind of product “something” is? Because when you figure it out, we’ll sell it to you. The president never told Government Motors what kind of product to manufacture. I guess you fall under the never trumper umbrella right? How about next time you analyze the word “something” versus a specific product in which
Government motors has.
Close the Canadian plant
And put something else in the US plants
That’s wrong? Not as “wrong” as the US Taxpayer$ footing BILLION$ under OCommie to $ati$fy Big Labor
To repeat, put something else in
That's what she...nope, can't do it.
:^D
In fact, BRING SOMETHING HOME
I looked at a Buick last week and the engine and a whole bunch other parts were Made In KOREA
🚨 BREAKING: According to UAW leaders, GM CEO Mary Barra made the final decision to eliminate 14,000 employees after lobbying from former President Obama and other Democrat leaders. Citing the strategic midwest locations of the plants for the 2020 election.....developing
So someone, say the president, can’t offer up ideas for a company to improve their product like voice controlled GPS so you don’t have to actually punch in information?
Would a remotely operated Zamboni machine work?
Dan from Squirrel Hill is an idiot. We bailed out GM. They owe us Big Time.
