Meanwhile, its a dog-eat-dog world of which braying donkeys approve
Proving the old adage that The Laws an ass, a federal judge on Friday granted CNNs request for a court order that would temporarily reinstate correspondent Jim Acostas White House press pass.
In this case, the laws not only an # but donkeys are riding all over it because it, in effect, gives a bullhorn back to a badgering blowhard.
Exactly, no more press conferences. If a federal judge can tell the White House who they can and can’t let in the door what is the point of the secret service and having security.
No press conferences, just stop. Don’t announce, just stop and if the President or Sarah have something to say, they call these prima-donnas into the press room, read the statement and walk out without taking a single question.
Frankly I would tell this judge to piss up a rope and deny Acrybag entrance.
Did Obama ever kick reporters out?
As soon as Acosta opens his mouth. End the press conference.
It’s the Executive Branch and the White House can very well ignore it, perform an additional background check, etc.
Further, there is no 5A infringement as this was not a LEO action performed by a LEO organization.
Next the courts will rule you have to listen to the communist news network! These are the Leole who need to be investigate for collaboration!
Only if they call it a "tax". It sure is taxing to watch.
I said from the beginning that banning JA will only make him a martyr.
Better idea: simply ignore him. There are LOTS of reporters in the pool who don’t get the chance to ask presser questions.
If anyone behaved in court the way that Acosta behaved in the White House, the judge would instantly find him in contempt. The right thing for the president to do under the Constitution would be to just announce that
- The president would not presume to enter either the Capitol building or the Supreme Court building uninvited - nor presume to require that his representative be admitted to either.
- Invitations to the White House are not property which anyone can buy or sell - nor have an inalienable right to. Members of the press are not officials of the government. They are not officials, period. The conceit that they are is a political position which the president is not obliged to accept.
- The head of the executive branch decides who speaks to him - and who does not - within his residence. And neither the judge who made this ruling, nor anyone else under the presumed authority of that judge, is welcome in the White House without a specific invitation from the president - which certainly will not be forthcoming while that judges presumptuous order stands.
It is more likely, though, in the context of a Democrat controlled House, that the president will cancel all press availabilities provided by his administration, thus mooting the ruling, until the ruling is overturned.
Unfortunately I do not assume that Mr. Trump will do either.
. . . and also that the intern wasnt a former major college heavy weight-class wrestler or football lineman.
Oh, give him a microphone, fine - just make sure you have another, and can switch the audio feed at your own discretion.
By the time a lot of them graduate from high school, they have been told to ignore them if you disagree with someone.
Got Alum ?
Spray some in his throat like the Cartoons Do.
You and I are in agreement. I’m just saying it’s possible and time will tell.
People seem to honestly think that trump doesn’t think these things through and strategize with his advisers. It’s kinda comical.
