Troops have been putting up a barbed wire border at the Rio Grande River. But its not like the rusty old barbed wire that we used to sneak through as a kid its concertina wire or razor wire.
They have laid about 1,000 feet of the wire along the Rio Grande River, as well as under the McAllen-Hidalgo International Bridge. The idea is to dissuade the Migrant caravans from crossing at that point in the river. The Rio Grande is a common place for illegal immigrants to enter the United States. First off: I hope Mattis is talking to his counter part part in Israel for some advice. We haven’t faced this problem in many years, they have.
My solution would be to give Mexico an ultimatum and tell them that a) the refugees are their problem b) they cannot be allowed within a certain distance of our border c) if Mexico fails to comply, we will enter their territory and create a buffer zone ourselves.

Surely there are drones patrolling.
Don’t you think the military knows what they are doing?
Do you really want an answer to that?
You really think they're ONLY putting down 1000 ft.?
Now.Plug it in to the 440....
There will not be a show-down. That would be a actual tragedy that would be milked by the leftist-extremists. Those people are going to be collected into a tent city, and then deported by ship or air.
So what’s to keep the invaders from bringing step ladders with them? Makes for a great bridge across concertina.
