The crux of the media's eruption over the killing of Kashogi is that he was a WaPo contributing journalist.
Does anyone know how many articles he contributed to the WaPo? I can't find anything about it online.
The Wikipedia entry for WaPo journalists doesn't even list Kashogi.

Excerpted just for you.
As he is or was an Islamic cult member and part of the Muslim Brotherhood, does those terrorist time make his writings propaganda? Hard with those connections to see him as a journalist.
Good point!
The amount of attention being paid to him seems way out of proportion to his nearly invisible identity. Who ever heard of him before his death? He may have been one of our spooks using journalism and the pro Muslim Brotherhood activism as cover.
I count 13 opinion pieces on a link the then at the Wiki article about him.
I’m a church-going Catholic who doesn’t care about islamics who are out to destroy my country and my culture. Who are you?
Journalist was his cover job. He was really a double agent, working for both the Saudi Intelligence and the Muslim Brotherhood. He was probably double crossing both of them. It’s not nice to double cross the Kingdom, you could end up dead if you do that.
Hadnt thought of this angle. I was surprised to learn he was Muslim Brotherhood. I just figured he was in the news because he lived here and worked for the WaPoo.
You ascertained belief in G-d from this sentence? Sherlock Holmes is that you?
I am increasingly surprised by the way some FR-ers treat others. I dont want to click on LanaTurnerOverdrive, but Ive never heard of her/him. Many more trolls in the run-up to the election?
Is it just me or: Is there more outrage over the Saudis killing this guy than over the Saudis being complicit in 9/11??????
He/she has no state or biography in his home page, so who the hell knows who he is? Yes, we have trolls in the run=up to the election but as someone who was a witness to 9/11 and has no faith in the Turkey/Saudi islamist governments, I don’t care what happened to some fake-liberal Saudi journalist. Mark Steyn took out this bastard last night on Tucker’s show.
He was a Muslim Brotherhood propagandist - look in the Opinions sections. He once years ago was a journalist, but became a propagandist and enemy of the Saudi royal family advocating for their overthrow. He was a fake journalist ... wait is there any other kind these days?
If he is Mooselip Brotherhood he was likely guilty of an assassination attempt or something.
Thank-you. 13 articles to become the poster boy of danger journalism.
I recommend you buzz off, buster.
