2 female Senators in the background. Staged. Get on with it Susan.
Heard it on Hannity.
Moore did nothing illegal A 30 year old chasing a 16 year old and trying to get her courting with you wasn’t illegal in the cotton belt.
We may not like it but a few of the moderates saved the day
Collins could lose her seat over this
Im with you
KNOWING about the Socialist's tactics........versus being the object of their tactics, are two very different things.
I know some people are asses, but it doesn't get personal for me until they throw their garbage my way.
I just think Kavanaugh may have had a wake up call, per his responses at the witch trial.
“Gorsuch is a WASP.”
Episcopalian but raised Catholic. So he’s like a half-Catholic.
Fair’s fair. We traded him for Thomas.
That works.
“It ain’t over ‘til it’s OVER”..... I won’t trust anything until the vote has actually been taken, but the situation is looking good.
No
We have fifty one with pence
Yes she could - but her re-election bid is in 2020. A lot can happen between now and then.
By the way,
There are 35 seats up in 2018, of which 26 are held by Democrats.
We can only hope. Some who were good on paper disappointed us. Sandra Day O’Connor, for example, became pretty liberal after starting out fairly conservative. Blackmun went from being a conservative lawyer to a left wing jurist willing to create rights out of whole cloth. Kavanaugh seems like he is fairly well grounded in the tenets of strict construction. But you can never know how a person will react to the possibility of becoming a god-like authority from on high. The ability to do what they want unchecked is tempting to many.
You are so right!
I listened to Collin’s speech while in the car. I thought it was one of the best speeches I have ever heard on the Senate floor. She did what had to be done.
Disappointed with some of the comments on this thread.
DITTO!
Well then good, she did good in that speech. I thought it was just face time.
Yes they were. They were Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-West Virginia) and Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Mississippi).
Moore was removed *twice* due to thinking rules and processes don’t apply to him and he could make decisions unilaterally - using the judiciary to engage in vanity politics.
Not to mention a very lazy campaigner and took the weekend before the election off to go to a ball game.
Give it the 10th Amendment treatment and throw it to the states. Let the people decide.
It has always belonged with the States. It only came before the Supreme Court because the Libs couldn’t control the states and had to do an end run around Congress to get it. That’s why they are afraid of a right leaning SC. They won’t be able to use the SC to make law.
