I was falsely accused of having an affair and fathering a child with a woman I never met.
A WOMAN I NEVER MET.
I am a reasonably locally-prominent person. I had the misfortune of being on the front page of a local paper one day when a lady I'd never met gave birth. I gave a lot of money to a school.
She saw me on the paper. She saw I was wealthy and reasonably important. So when the clerk came in with the birth certificate form to fill out, she put my name.
She went on welfare and concocted a giant story of an affair. She was very convincing.
I was briefly forced to pay child support until I spent a lot of money on DNA tests (yes, plural). All came back that the kid was not mine.
I had to attend court several times. I took a deposition. I had to attend court-mandated parenting classes for a child I never wanted to see. I never got my money back.
Probably all in, it cost me $50,000, counting my lawyers.
I almost got a divorce. People gossiped, and do to this day.
Nothing ever happened to the lady who lied. It's a crime to put false information on an official form, but despite my requests to prosecute, nothing happened.
My name remains on the birth certificate, as there apparently is no way to change it. My lawyers take this into account when they set up trusts and wills and whatnot for my estate.
All because some random bitch lied.
no i just asked WAS she crazy and fixated. I know men and women lie for sport, sometime.
“At Microsoft, men are refusing to take one-on-one meetings with women for any reason. No close door meetings.”
My new office is one giant open area.
The executive offices are all glass fronts, doors and all.
And, yes, I’ve had to hire some women. But they office all the way across the floor, and I avoid them.
My wife has an office next to mine. She doesn’t do anything, mind you. But she shows up and checks email randomly. She is also my go-between when I have to interact with a female.
The #MeToo crap has destroyed women’s ability to get ahead in the workforce. I view each woman as a potential lawsuit.
I would certainly never take one under my wing or help them in any way.
“Ive noticed that people who thump their Bible seldom open it.”
They sure like the moolah though...Jimmy Swaggart, Mike Murdock, etc.
Think of the days prior to DNA testing.
“Think of the days prior to DNA testing.”
This was almost then.
The DNA tests were something like $8,000 each.
They had only recently (like 5-6 years) been approved for use in paternity testing.
We had to hire an expert to testify how they worked to the court (like another $10K).
In hindsight, I think the $50K estimate I gave earlier in this thread was light. Probably $80K.
Any man that thinks a woman won’t lie and do other mean things has never been divorced by one.
+1
Would make a good tagline
The court system is set up against men with regards to children. But you already know that.Scum liars er lawyers.
Amazing.
Hate she skated.
I dont blame you at all. Id have lost my mind in your shoes. BTW, Im a female and I detest the womens movement BS. Those people dont speak for me.
I like several lawyers.
Mine were very good, fighting a system that was designed to railroad men.
The first lawyer correctly pointed out I could have paid a lump sum that was cheaper than paying the lawyers and been free of the hassle.
I preferred the fight; and had to, for the sake of my marriage.
One last detail:
The two local papers and even a TV channel reported the accusations in salacious detail.
The never once published the DNA results or how the court ruled on paternity, despite two reporters sitting there throughout the hearing.
In the vicinity of the same vein ... have any freeper dudes, freepettes too for that matter ... noticed that old flames where a I Wonder & What Ifs? might have lingered. With the advent of Social Media, are soon discounted, replaced with - Thank Goodness I ran then, I remember now.
And no, no one cares if youre a pompous-signaling anti Facebook avenging angel. Nor is anyone curious of the date you stopped watching TV.
Sorry, I missed that you did take a DNA test and it showed conclusively that the child was not yours.
It is too bad that there are some women out there who would make up things, trying to shake down an innocent person.
Time for the lying witches to start paying for their lies.
I’ve seen quite a few cases of false accusations made by women (none by men). Sadly, it seems to mostly be really nice men (and boys) who have been accused, most of them for revenge. We need to have false accusations met with severe punishments.
This entire op was a calculated move. Shes not crazy.
Sorry to hear your story. Mine was different than yours but still, I know exactly how many lives can be touched/trashed by lies or innuendos. I literally sit here and cannot tell you if I have a daughter (and grandkids) or not. Her mother never showed up for the DNA tests (25 years ago) and this young lady simply does not want to know at this point and realistically; I don’t blame her; we are estranged.
All of this un-certainty and unknowns and strain because a woman (her mom) would not come clean. (I found out the girl was born when I was in the military; tried my hardest to get DNA test done and even under court order she would not show up; tried to do the right things — had to get DNA tests done so I could get support set up). I did pay the girls grandmother (who was looking out for her) for several years; but simply put, I had my kids come along from marriage and then my wife at the time put a stop to those payments (would you blame her?)
done rambling. Just wanted to say lives are touched and trashed by lies and in-decisions. its bullshit.
I am aware of a rape claim now against a young man who worked in our operations department.
Zero physical evidence. Much testimony of consensual activity, including when we saw her all over him at a company party. (She was his guest.)
According to my district attorney friend, it is common for illegal aliens (which this woman was) to accuse a man of rape as they get a stay on extradition and some sort of preference for immigration.
Fortunately for the boy, she has apparently moved to a different state, so the prosecutor will probably have to dismiss the case for a lack of a witness.
