CNN isnt exactly known for presenting a balanced view of things, and the hearings regarding Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh are no different.
However, a recent attempt at a womens panel likely meant to further drive opinion of Kavanaugh down, given CNNs history, did not go the way it was supposed to. Instead of speaking out against Kavanaugh, the CNN panel of women not only defended him but said they have no sympathy for his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford.
The women first discussed how its hard to believe the word of a woman who is talking about something that happened over 30 years ago against a man with an impeccable reputation, with many people vouching for him. The women also noted that if it did happen, no rape occurred, and it was an occurrence between two young teenagers making dumb decisions.
The CNN hostess then tried to make the argument that Ford may not be lying because she is going through a lot since her story came out, and has been dealing with death threats, and having to move. The panel of women responded only by saying that Kavanaugh is also going through horrible times, as well as his wife and children.
Why didnt she come out when he was going into the Bush White House? Why didnt she come out hes been a federal judge for over a decade, asked one woman.
The CNN hostess then asked the women why an FBI investigation isnt happening as it did with Anita Hill. One of the women reminded the hostess that this is a case of two teenagers, not a case of misconduct on the federal level.
The women were then asked if something someone did years ago should matter today.
You cant judge the character of a man based on what he did at 17, said one woman.
And I would hate to think that 30, 40 years later, somebody is going to destroy your life because somewhere, at some party you its not right but, maybe you touched somebody the way you were not supposed to, added another woman.
Upon being asked if the women have sympathy for Ford, one woman responded that she didnt and offered the idea that perhaps theres more to the story that were not hearing about, for instance, that this is a case of jealousy.
This isnt the first time an attempt at generating argument by public opinion against Kavanaugh has gone south. On Thursday, Chris Cuomo attempted to hold a Twitter poll asking if Kavanaugh should receive the benefit of the doubt against Fords testimony. He was openly disappointed by the results.
Jim Acosta also tried his hand at pegging Kavanaugh as guilty by inviting on a friend of Fords to his show, only to have her friend openly tell Acosta that she never heard of Kavanaugh doing such a thing from her friend at the time.
Too bad the spineless pols can’t seem to get that even if true - and I definitely think it is NOT true - the public who will be voting soon, pols, just doesn’t care what drunken teens did 35 years ago.
“The CNN focus group screener has been transferred to Antarctica.”
Could you imagine if this little CNN snafu was something against Hillary during the election ?
All of those people would be dead.
bwahaha..
OK, now that discussion of women gives me hope for America. Not everyone is insane.
Lefties are like 2 year old, crying that they only got a slice of cake.
“I want the WHOLE cake!”
Pubs are says: “Go ahead, eat the whole cake. Let me know how this turns out for you.”
