Here is the Founder of the “Netroots Nation” gathering – Markos Moulitsas – telling Chuck Todd that in the 2020 Presidential Campaign, Democrats must embrace “Socialism” or be “irrelevant.” He even said “Donald Trump doesn’t want his taxes to go up – but everyone else kinda does.” Moulitsas also said of Republicans, “They will be calling us Communists before it’s over with.” Well, yeah!
Socialism? Tax increases on everyone? So this will be the message of the Democrats in 2020? The 2020 Democrat Presidential Nomination Battle is going to be a thing to behold!

I sometimes worry we are going to swing back and forth from two extremes, without a “middle of the road” type candidate on either side for a while. It seems like the only way to rile up interest in either side’s base is to go a little extreme. They seem to lose interest in the “safe picks” that used to work.
It’s like instead of the president trying to work for the country as a whole, he works only for whichever side got him elected and ignores the other half. On both sides
