Jeff Sessions is doing his best NOT to prosecute anything. He is a compromised player, at best, and likely actually in-league with the swamp.
What’s going to be interesting is when the Hollywood stuff goes public, as in mainstream, “the dam broke!”/”there’s no stopping it!” — Hollywood actually picked a fight with 4chan, see http://voxday.blogspot.com/2018/07/hollywood-vs-chans.html and if even half of what 4Chan’s been digging up is true, when SHTF it’s going to be amazing to watch — because if he fails to prosecute, then he’s signalling that he’s in with the pedophiles/human-traffickers/foreign-agents, but if he *DOES* then there’s a good chance the links between Hollywood and the Swamp will be uncovered.

Rosenstein takes orders and that’s why he’s goofed a couple times. He wouldn’t say that he had read a FISA application he signed.
Everything being done only makes sense if Mueller is running the DOJ.
Like US Attys being reassigned to provide dirt or controversy on Trump’s SCOTUS selection.

The simple answer is that Attorney General Sessions is doing what President Trump has directed him to do, and he would have been fired long ago if he hadn't been. So your question goes back to President Trump himself and what the president is or isn't doing.
Many FReepers who claim to respect President Trump and to trust his judgment seemed convinced that he is also an idiot and a fool. Impatience is understandable and scoffing is easy, but we have to trust the president we elected to exercise the judgment he possesses to do the job that he promised to do. President Trump knows and sees everything we do, and a lot more. And he has a history of doing what he has promised.
If the criminals and traitors were bulletproof and were actually winning, they wouldn't need to attack President Trump as they have since his election. Their attacks have grown increasingly desperate as they are now projecting their own Treason upon him. Why? They are acting out of fear, which means they are afraid of something. What might that be?
On our side, President Trump is calmly driving events, deflecting attention while important work is done. Time will tell what President Trump and his close inner circle have been doing...
He is to busy trying to give the Bundys another reach around and plea bargaining Awan’s espionage down to tax evasion.
