The first Americans I’ve met, Pam and her husband James from Chicago worked with my dad at the refinery. He was an engineer from a small family and she followed him to this God-forsaken country where everyone seemed to be a prisoner. They appeared friendly in a plastic way, smiling all the time for no apparent reason, totally unconcerned about the misery of the oppressed Romanians around them, barely surviving under communism.
The couple relished their monthly shopping trips—it was their escape from the depressing life around them. They would fly to places in the West that were forbidden to us, Hungary, Austria, and Germany. She would come back each time with expensive gifts for herself and her family. She could not wait to return to the land of plenty, far from “this dirty, drab and awful country where nobody smiles.”
Well, if someone wants to put a statute of limitations on this, they can have at it. We could call it the “if you can enter the country and keep your feet within the borders, and not be incarcerated, for “x” years, you have automatic naturalized citizenship.
I wouldn’t be for it, but if time matters to some people, they can pass a law.
The government serves at the whim of the citizens. Illegal aliens are not their constituency. They can treat them humanely, of course, but they need to enforce the law. Without law, we collapse. And if we don’t enforce our laws, we are without law.

I wish that were true in California. There is absolutely no group that is served more slavishly by our state government than the citizens of other countries who live here illegally. The supermajority Democrats all do it. The establishment Republicans join them.

Sorry, but their #FakeNews headline does not tug at my heartstrings. I celebrate when criminals get what they deserve, even if justice has been delayed. Deport all illegals, whether back to Romania, Poland, Ireland, Mexico, or Somalia. No exceptions. Imprison all bank robbers, whether they have held their stolen money for minutes, hours, days, or decades. Lock up or execute all kidnappers. Crime should not pay, whether illegal invasion of our country or a different serious felony.
They started embracing Socialism, not Communism, because they believe it to be good (claiming Christ was a socialist), when the schools started indoctrinating them to believe America & capitalism were evil. It started slowly in the 60’s, and got progressively more bold and open with the indoctrination process with each new generation. Most parents didn’t complain because they had been taught that the country wasn’t perfect. What was left out though, is that even with its shortcomings it still was the best nation on the face of the earth.
Ironically they recently surveyed a bunch of countries to determine the ones where the population was the most Pro-Capitalist. The Top Country: Vietnam.
