Which, is why Rosenstein has offered to do it this way. He appears to be agreeing to Trump's wishes to investigate (among many other things) the slow-walking of requests for information while slow-walking them through an IG investigation!

Trump must resist Rosenstein trying to hand this off to the IG. It needs to be its own criminal predicate driving a special counsel or an assigned counsel.
Why does the IG need the permission of Rosenstein to investigate any matter? Thought his office was independent of the department leadership since they may be the subject of the investigation.
YES!! What you said exactly! Trump should insist on a pitbull Special Counsel or he should fire Rosenstein. A or B; the time has come.
