Brittney Coelho arrived at her Harker, Tex. high school one morning, dressed in an outfit deemed appropriate by her school’s dress code. But during the day, an assistant principal pulled her aside to point out an issue with her wardrobe — the fact that Coelho wasn’t wearing a bra.
“It is not a requirement in the dress code at my school for me to wear a bra,” the student tweeted. “Stop blaming girls’s outfits for boys not being raised right to respect women.”
She then posted a photo of herself in the shirt she wore to school, without a bra, alongside a screen shot of Harker Heights High School’s dress code. The high-necked top seemed to cover up everything that the guidelines restricted, leading the student to conclude that the bra request was rather sexist.
The 17-year-old recalled the conversation with the administrator, a female assistant principal, for Yahoo Lifestyle, saying that she had asked Coelho if she was wearing a bra under her shirt, to which she responded “no.” The conversation took an even more uncomfortable turn when the administrator began to allegedly explain why that wasn’t appropriate — from pointing out that it would become more noticeable to others if Coelho was cold to telling her that she should cover up “so guys don’t stare.”
The administrator did not immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyle’s request for comment....

And grow the F up. You KNOW that walking around bra-less is an open invitation to stare. Don't pretend to be that stupid. However, I withdraw the criticism if you truly ARE that stupid.
Well, at least you’ll be able to tell if the temp is too cold in the room, and if Thanksgiving turkey is done cooking.
I was an A student through 6th grade or so. Then for some reason it became harder and harder to focus on my work, through HS and College was no better.
Funny how the little distractions in life can change ones future plans so much.

High school I went to followed the pencil rule. If there was enough boobage that a girl could hold a pencil on the underside, she needed to be wearing a bra. This was in the 1970s.

Ya’all are dumb dumbs. The real question is if she didn’t wear panties and wore a mini skirt and sat in the front row on test day. I knew a few girls like that back in my youth. Had a good friend that was a chemistry teacher. Poor SOB had to deal with that kind of crap all the time. (He was handsome and 26 at the time) For some unknown reason God made some women whores. H O A R, you are a whore. Do I care? Nope. Am I going to go there? Nope.
Apparently, you can’t tell that to girls anymore - it is un-pc. My mom told me that (in different words, of course) when I was 12-13. Of course, in those days, a bra (a “trainer” bra) was considered the height of adult sophistication and young girls were dying to have one.

BTW, girls stare at things also in the brave “new” world of all things being equal.

As if boys (and some girls) wouldn’t stare if she was wearing a bra. Guys have a tendency to stare at boobs. Hers are pretty small, and maybe that cuts down on the staring, bra or no bra. As someone well endowed, I’ve always had guys stare. And of course, I was wearing a bra.
