This is just a battle lost, not the war. Its gonna be ok. I am embarrassed for and of some of you FReepers. Rub some dirt on it and walk it off, go to the range, drink it off, cry in your pillows, whatever...
Quit whining. Quit acting like snowflakes. Or just opus-out and don't come back. Posers.
(Rant off)
Go President Trump!! MAGA!!!
I agree they are ticked at the wrong signers
Piss off enough Conservatives, and they’ll stay home in November.
+1
My Lord. The mentality around here is astounding. Trump got manuevered into signing a bill that had much of what he wanted and a lot of what he didn’t want.
Gimme a break.
I swear, thank God this generation of conservatives wasn’t fighting WW2. First screwed up decision by a general (there were plenty in the early days) and these guys would’ve deserted. “That’s it! I can’t believe we lost that battle to Axis Powers! I’ve had it! This guy is no good....”
Fox hole.
Trump LEARNS from missteps. That is why he is a success.
Quit moaning. Re-load. Put on your big girl panties.
People have a right to express their displeasure without ridicule from board bullies like you.
I see a lot of folks throwing up their hands, why?
It would seem to me that we must face a terrible
threat, if President Trump was willing to accept
this bill in order to rebuild our military.
I don’t expect him to give up the fight and neither
should we!
Today's the day "Build The Wall" became Trump's "Read My Lips, No New Taxes"
Sorry, but I think his presidency has been crippled and his 2nd term forfeited.
We likely just lost the house because of this bill.
“It is up to us to correct this situation in the primaries and the general election this year!”
How?
When we had nothing, we were told that if we could just rally and get a few republicans in the house we could fight back. So we rallied, the tea party was formed, and we got the house and were promptly sh$%# all over.
Then we were told nothing could be done because harry reid was mean, and we needed to wrestle the senate away. So once again we rallied (meanwhile twice they tried to shove amnesty down our throats)...but we rallied and delivered the senate.
Meanwhile, the republicans tossed a bill or two out that they knew damn well would be vetoed, anything of substance just could not be done because the dems could literally filibuster everything.
We were then told that, hey and if we had the presidency, and the senate, and the house, then by golly, we could really get some stuff done. So once again we rallied, and despite all odds, despite the entire media, and the RNC and the DNC, and the hundreds of billions of dollars at stake, and the fraud machine, we delivered the presidency, the house, and the senate. And one year later the dems get better bills than they could ever dream.
What would have been the big problem with a veto? Congress would have had to work through the weekend, that's all. A veto might not result in the perfect bill, but it would have been a better deal. I almost gag when I look at all the anti-American crap that is getting funding in that bill.
Just the normal contingent of trolls and FR NeverTrumpers. Pay them no attention.
It really needs to be done, because these peacocks fear nothing else any more. They - the big Dem and Rep floaters at the top - stoked the “Russia” fire that the DNC/Clintons lit, so let’s see how they like a nice, crackling fire. How about releasing some files (redacted, of course), then because of the serious nature of some of the information, appointing a special council to look into these fine birds, beginning with McConnell, Schumer, Ryan and Pelosi. Hell, make that counsel’s staff truly “bipartisan,” since there is apparently only one “deep state”/uniparty anyway.
Move for removal of Trump and replacement by Pence; that will make the Democrats dump a load.
Here’s a “mash up” of how I see it:
Read me lips, no new walls.
.... “go to the range,”....
Don’t waste them, we are going to need em.
None of which has any bearing on today’s events. We got what we needed and accepted a lot of what we did not want to get it. Need to fix the system. Line item veto and end the Senate filibuster.
