...."Last year, my reader sunnydaysall, from BrainHavenNet, posted Dr Christophers Herbal Legacy Newsletter from July 7, 2017, The Untimely Death of America.
It is well worth reading, especially for those interested in natural remedies.
One would have thought that George Washington would have had the finest medical care available. It seems he did in principle, but, judging from his final days, not in practice.
A summary and excerpts follow, emphases mine."...

You have no idea of the ‘pickiness’ and sensitivity-to-everything of the guy we’re discussing - which I think is part of his many health issues.
But that’s a good idea; it might go down in tomato juice.
Really, you liken Chemotherapy to bleeding a Patient?
Have you been treated with Chemotherapy, I have and I am here to tell the tale. The tale is, I am still breathing rather than being dead for the past twelve years.
If you are trying to make the point that future Medical Progress will make the methods used today seem primitive, try using a different example.
You obviously no nothing of today’s Chemotherapy Treatment Regimens.
Yes, they opened his Veins. It was common practice.
No Leeches were used.

Definitely if you have a cancer dx you should go very low carb. And maximize the functioning of the immune system.
Sadly I know people with cancer and I dont have the courage to suggest such things. Their doctors dont even touch on these subjects. My closest friends of course, but distant relatives or kids school people, I just dont want to put people who probably already disagree on the defensive, when they need support and love.
I think attitude and the kinds of thoughts one allows oneself to dwell upon are huge factors in health and disease. But people are often more resistant to considering new ways of thinking than they are to entertaining new ideas about nutrition or changing the things that they eat.
It seems that we will fight to the death to hold on to our ‘attitudes’, even though changing a point of view - an old resentment, a proclivity toward fear or worry, etc. - would lift so much stress from us...
True. Other things that could work would be a good grape juice, maybe a tart lemonade. Something wih licorice in it.
If he likes chili or a spicy/peppery sauce it would blend in.
200 years from now they’ll be laughing at the dunderheads in 2018 who died — unlimited life expectancy is going to make dying look quite stupid.
Of course, with nobody dying, earth’s population will face a major crisis. Nobody will be allowed to have kids except as replacements for those who died in accidents.
Thank God for antibiotics! Right now they are hard at work fighting the nasty Mr. H. Pylori in my stomach. I think the antibiotics are winning! I went many years before this was diagnosed (and only diagnosed when I suggested we test for it). It would not be pleasant living with this the rest of your life.
Agree with your assessment 100%. The personal sacrifices he made for us and the launch of the United States of America are way above and beyond. What a life of accomplishment!
This should make race baiters and south bashers and America haters happy
After all he owned a lot of slaves and prolly said nigra from time to time Id wager
A bitter loss ....
To carry the UMF trademark Manuka honey must be certified by an independent testing laboratory, packed into pots in New Zealand by a licensed member of the New Zealand Unique Manuka Factor Honey Association, and labelled in NZ. Therefore the most assured way of buying genuine Manuka UMF honey is to buy it on-line from a New Zealand based website.
Severa drops of this with several drops of liquid smoke, mixed into a beef stew or gravy.
Quick way to bring on a heart attack, too. Disgusting way to die. What are the conspiracy theories on Washington’s death, I wonder? (Wonder if it has anything to do with the letter he supposedly wrote on his deathbed disavowing Illuminists?)
Yes you’re right, I think. Doctors in Washington’s day used fine knives to directly open veins.
see my post #36.
And that’s all I’m saying. A few on this thread seem to have missed the subtle point I was attempting to make.
That's the state motto of Virginia, you know. Birthplace of the Bill of Rights as well as more Founders than any other state.
When a sledgehammer is all you’ve got, you use the sledgehammer. It does appear that other, more subtle methods are being intentionally ignored in recent decades, though.
