Who is the next one? Gavin Newsom. 'Legalized' gay weddings as SF mayor for the Profile in Courage types. Republicans can nip him in the bud by voting for the Mexican LA mayor. Otherwise it's back to the future.

He cheated on Kimberly Guilfoyle after having a child with her. His mistress (who worked for his campaign or for his administration) was the wife of his friend. He can’t control himself.

Newsome is a rabid far Left Sanderista. America is still a right of center nation. I’m not saying he can’t be elected but he faces ideological challenges, thank God.
Whoever it is, he won’t be a white male. The Dems are past white males.
He CAN get elected. Look at all the stuff that was known about Bubba and Hussein. Voters didn’t care. I say vote for Villagarosa and hold your nose. Newsome can succeed Finestein.
Dems are not past white males. Blacks: been there done that. The last one lasted 8 years-his only accomplishment. They will go back to who can win. Calif. Gov. fits good on the resume and Newsom looks serious enough to be taken seriously.
The democrats have more “rising stars” than the gay porn business.
He definitely has blue chip credentials to be a democrat president.

I thought the “rising star” was supposed to be Camela [sic] Harris, who “checks all the boxes.”

The Democrats still seem to be telling themselves that #MeToo is going to propel them to victory. Yet what do they do? Grab a Kennedy male for the State of the Union rebuttal. There is all kinds of cognitive dissonance on display and I don’t see that resolving anytime soon.
I could totally see them grabbing Gavin Newsom, or someone in that mold. They could have won with Uncle Joe, but he is old, and they are relying on Silicon Valley and Hollywood for money, and both of those places have pathological misogyny and ageism problems.
I remember Willie Brown, SF Mayor coming to the SF GOP office, hat in hand, and asking for their support. Same situation. Tom Amiano, gay LEFTIST could have won. Republican Party issued a statement complimenting Brown in a left-handed way but acknowledging him as capable. Amiano was only describes as “eat the rich’. I hope the state GOP finds the wisdom to take advantage of this small opportunity. Democrats are ‘racists’ for not supporting the hispanic and bring out the pretty boy that racist gays now love.
