Appearing on Fox News last week, actor Scott Baio explained a very important fact about President Trumps rhetorical style. In responding to attacks on the presidents tone and and general fitness for office, Baio had this to say: Im going to help the media right now, okay, Im going to try to help them
Its not going to go anywhere, but Im going to try to help them because theyve called the president, the president has dementia, hes and idiot, hes not mature
Im from Brooklyn, President Trump is from Queens. This is what we do. We mess with people. Thats it.

Martha knows her stuff. Up from a working-class Polish family with, indeed, a killer style. Stock broker turned lifestyle guru who stole her husband’s name to increase her credibility with the phony, posh world of Manhattan.
Only a tough broad could survive what happened to her several years ago. I’ll never forget her standing on the courtroom steps - moments before she was being whisked to jail - asking people to buy stock in her company! I still remember Rush expressing admiration for her moxie.
Brilliant baker as well.
Probably.
Good way to put it.
Still my aspiration/preference.
Besides the white gloves prevent fingerprints and powder residue :-)
Are you a resident of the Tri-State area?
Queens in the 1950s and 60s and early 70s was magical. A bit tough, but magical. I lived it and loved it.
Whatever complaints one might have against Martha, she is incredibly accomplished.
While in prison, she was giving moral support to her fellow inmates.
Thanks for giving the idea some thought. Didn’t mean to be insulting in the first post but you don’t seem to have taken offense. You may be more like Trump than you care to admit just not as NY as he is! :-)
I am fourth generation wild west from both sides of family.
Mom pure lady. Sophisicated, prim and proper. Dad, blustery, full of idioms and everbody was an SOB.
Have lived and worked in lots of social situations. Understand Trump just fine. Learned that style is not nearly as important as substance. Donald has substance.
Precisely
The issue isn't that he speaks rough. It's that he speaks like a child.
Tough? YES!
Good baker?
Maybe.
But she "STOLE" a lot of "her" recipes and her recipe for Yorkshire Pudding is not only utter CRAP, but if one was stupid enough to try to use it, would just make a sloppy, greyish lump of goo.
This is the first article or depiction of any kind about NYCers that made me fond of them, some of them.
Perhaps. Am totally an ENTJ.
I’m a guy who always WANTED to be in the ‘elite’, the ivory tower, write at a PhD level... Instead I had to slap welding rod and roof tile around.... The old man had a stroke when I was 6 so always had to work AND do school.
I think Scott Adams makes a lot of good points about how Trump’s ‘style’ is so effective. I don’t have to *like* it, it’s the results that matter. I was in for Carson in the primaries, personally.
That style wouldn't work now and hasn't for many decades.
Yes, I am. :-)
Didn’t say he was monotone, I said his Outer Borough accent has been tamed to an extent via association with those who speak in that manner.
I was born on DeKalb Avenue, Trump is my homeboy.
I get him totally.
Lol, I thought this was obvious. Guess not.
What the bleeding hell is wrong with you?
GROW UP!
I was born and raised in Southern California - even I get it. People (libs, MSN) either don’t want to get it or get it, but choose to play it for all they can. They know dims live & breathe anything anti-Trump.
