Wow! A huge “clarification” coming tonight from ABC News. Earlier today, reporter Brian Ross rocked the nation by reporting that Michael Flynn was prepared to testify that “candidate Donald Trump” had directed him to make contact with the Russians. The word “candidate” would mean during the 2016 Election. His report hit like a bombshell. But tonight, ABC News is reportedly clarifying that Ross should have said . . .

Big, big difference. The incoming president has every right to make diplomatic contact with countries during the transition period. Both countries need to know who they will be dealing with come January 20. That is what a transition period is for after all.
So, from what I read on numerous sites, there is nothing reported tying Trump or his campaign to collusion with the Russians or anybody else. What there is is Flynn lying to the FBI about a call to the Russian Ambassador on December 22nd, six weeks after the election and four weeks before the inauguration, at the direction of Jared Kushner. Kushner asked Flynn to call not only the Russians but the other members of the UN Security Council as well to stop an anti-Israel resolution from being passed. The White HOuse claims that it had the authority of Obama to do so. So what if it didn’t - it was the incoming Administration. Assuming the WH did not get Obama’s approval, is there a crime here? A violation of the Logan Act, under which NO ONE, not even Jane Fonda hugging the NVA artillery and meeting with NVA government offiicals in a time of war, has ever been prosecuted?? WHAT is Mueller doing in this and what does it have to do with campaign collusion - the campaign had been over for 44 days before this contact was made, it had nothing to do with candidate Trump or the campaign, and yet again, “star” reporter Brian Ross is shown to be a simple minded fool.
Neither is a problem.
A Candidate or a President Elect is free to talk with whomever they please.
A little late for clarification. ABC cretins got the headline they wanted and reported it with heavy breathing all day.
