If you don't have 100% surety that what you're shooting is wild game, WTF are shooting for?
We tell non hunters to wear orange when walking in woods or field. Not a bad idea in hunting country during hunting season. It prevents a guy who legitimately sees a deer realize there is a human in the foreground or background. Know your backstop.
But this guy saw her and aimed at her. He is either a total ass or he wanted to kill her.
Isn't it a little ... odd ... that he's hunting deer with a single-shot hand gun?
And that he would try to shoot one after dark? And at 200 yards? (I'm visualizing person standing in the evening twilight at the far end of 2 football fields).
When he couldn't see well enough to know if it had two legs or four?
Isn't it 3x too strange?
That's a little more info that we had yesterday.
Criminally negligent homicide, this careless moron broke enough laws, regulations and safety rules to earn a decade in prison and a lifetime of working off his debt to victim and society.
What the Hell did he shoot her at 200 yards with, a desert eagle??
Earlier reports said 200 yards (600 feet) at/around 5pm which is pretty much dark? Really?? Who hunts normally that time of night with a handgun? Might be he was having an affair and she was going to tell.
...and shot Billquist from 200 yards away, ..”
200 yards away?
I’m thinking most people would think this through somewhat?
It sounds like a planned hit to me.
Either he is lying about why he shot her or he is a criminally negligent dumbass that violated the most basic rules of hunting. Either way he should be prosecuted.
Of course someone in the left wing media is going to blame the NRA, but that is like blaming defensive driving instructors for drunk drivers.
Dude knew her, and plotted to kill her.
Mr. niteowl77
Some sort of criminal negligence at the least.
Note: Same event discussed from a different article:

Negligent homicide.
After sunset.
Not clearly identifying the target
200 yards with a pistol.
I’m surprised he wasn’t drunk too.
200 yards out you are using a scoped handgun for hunting.
My gut says he knew pretty clearly what he was aiming at.
Hunting Violations
Jadlowski called 911 at 5:24 p.m., 40 minutes after sunset, to report the incident. New York state’s hunting laws prohibit an individual from hunting deer after sunset, sheriff’s officials told The Buffalo News.

The guy is an idiot and deserves punishment.
