My friends they're out there. If you don't think so just look at what's happening in the NFL. I've had my own encounters with asshole cops and seen them operate on others. Rodney King, the waste of human skin did not need 52 swings with a nightstick. It's time the rest of you acknowledge something needs to be done. 2-5% of the cops out there should have their badges taken away. Of the others most don't make it to 20 years-probably the good ones. I say identify who they are and allow their victims to accuse them. Chiefs of Police take note. You may need another line of work also.

Fine. Not many people are in favor of bad cops. But those accused should face a hearing or trial, not a lynch mob.

I call BS. You reference an event 25 years ago. It’s more like .0000002 percent. There is no statistical difference between black, white, yellow, brown in treatment. In fact, given the percentage of situations police deal with, I would bet less are mishandled in that community.
You take away the “assumption of righteousness” that they need to operate under, and the only cops you will have left on the job are the para-military ones. The people that will completely wipe out not only those who are “acting out” but those who are witnesses. The cure for this entire situation is Obama in the White House. He is Americas Mandela. He divides and he will make sure our country is an outhouse, just like South Africa. Communist controlled, government enforced black participation in business, and whites as third class citizens in the country WE built. Exactly like South Africa.
I am a cop hater but I did notice when I finally saw the FULL Rodney King video, when he stopped lunging at the cops, the cops did stop beating him.
One time I did get robbed by the cops, though, in return for doing nothing wrong.

I never trust anyone who refuses to put anything up on their home page. It never fails.
As shown at the officers trial that most of those 52 swings did not make contact with Rodney King.

Just because it's a law, it doesn't make the law JUST.
The founders knew this, that is why we have jury trials.
The king and his jesters can pass any law they wish. It is up to We the People to allow or disallow them to enforce it.

It’s not possible to determine “need” from a couple seconds of video. If the OP had the slightest experience concerning the military or law enforcement, or any knowledge of tactical situations, he (she) would know that.
Must be wonderful, to be so morally prissy: police and other security forces keep threats at a long arm’s length, while those whose cushy lifestyle is thus protected feel free to condemn.
My idea is to promote the idea of a national holiday JUST FOR COPS. The public’s appreciation will go way up-then there will be no need. Fear is a great motivator. Too many of you folks are blind to what’s going on. Too many cops are on power trips. As long as it’s the next guy and you folks are not affected you will stay blind until it’s your turn.
Asset forfeiture, wrong-address no-knock raids, deaf people who can’t hear spoken commands. Seizure of surveillance tapes from stores in which suspects were beaten to death by officers under questionable circumstances. “Accidental” erasure of tapes in which suspects died in police custody. Multiple officers standing around, doing nothing, when one officer assaults and kidnaps the chief nurse at a hospital who was following medical privacy laws (i.e., who refused to bread privacy laws). The list goes on.
