The show-runners of the highly anticipated new CBS Star Trek series have said their Klingons will symbolize Trump supporters in modern America.
Released on September 24th, Star Trek: Discovery will continue the show's time-honored practice of mirroring the contemporary world in a futuristic setting.
The story, set 10-years before William Shatner's Captain Kirk, will focus on the fractious early relations between the United Federation of Planets and the aggressive Klingon Empire.
However, the new update could prove controversial, with fans of the 1960s show remembering the Klingons and Federation war as an allegory for the Cold War clash of civilizations between the Soviet Union and freedom loving United States....

I’ll stick with reruns of Quark.
Yeah, I figured that out after I posted. Was going to post an “oops” response, but thought I might be able to get away with it. I learned.
Well, OK....
As long as they make the Hillary / 0bama supporters into the Borg.
(Even if a lot of the Hillary people are more intellectually comparable to Tribbles)
How appropriate!
Yeah, they already said episode three turns into a debate about gender being assigned at birth. More lecturing.

Which one is the lesbian? Which one is the gay? Which one is the refugee? Which one is the transgender?
Who cares? ST has been beaten to death. The first few seasons of NG were all touchy feely unwatchable. Voyager limped. The new reboots are all flash stupid juvenile and insulting when you spend millions on a remake of Wrath of Khan. It’s time for the ST universe to big bang and condense into something else. Anything else.
In the next world war, after all the snowflakes, faggots and muzz slimes are killed off, men will again be men and women, women. By the time we have warp drive, the women, who are women, but also are free to have careers because of the saving of Western Civilization in aforementioned war - the women will the be ones demanding sexy uniforms, because then know they are women and they want to look good.
But the men won't be wearing Star Trek TOS gold, powder blue, and kill-me red "tunics". It will be some kind of space cammo, so...black I guess.
“The good news is, you got the job playing an alien on the new Star Trek. The bad news is, your character’s name is Vaginaface.”
At one time he had more shows on the air than any other producer and he knew his market and what to put on.
Dick Wolf did pretty good with the Law & Order Franchise.
Then the most prolific producer and writer was probably Stephen J Cannel who had over 80 writing and producing credits for TV series and movies.
One episode of NG cost as much as an entire season of TOS. And had 10% of the entertainment value. I thought at one time that if Picard said he wanted to “explore feelings” one more time I was gonna burn Hollywood to the ground.
Should have.
