The show-runners of the highly anticipated new CBS Star Trek series have said their Klingons will symbolize Trump supporters in modern America.
Released on September 24th, Star Trek: Discovery will continue the show's time-honored practice of mirroring the contemporary world in a futuristic setting.
The story, set 10-years before William Shatner's Captain Kirk, will focus on the fractious early relations between the United Federation of Planets and the aggressive Klingon Empire.
However, the new update could prove controversial, with fans of the 1960s show remembering the Klingons and Federation war as an allegory for the Cold War clash of civilizations between the Soviet Union and freedom loving United States....

I love star trek but I’ll be so happy when this crashes and burns. CBS has done a hell of a job screwing up the franchise since they bought paramount.
So Sharyl Attkisson is right...go figure.
As a lifelong Trekker....
Pass.
Amen Brother, me to. The days of lore are long gone. Last night I got on YouTube and started watching pro-football highlights from the 1960’s, man that was my era along with the 1970’s. The Golden and Glory years of Pro-Football.
They never seem to learn, do they...
The last three attempts to shove that GLBTQWERTYXYZ or racist or feminist crap down our throats have failed miserably! almost immediately!
Back in the heyday of those guys, actors and actresses were under contract to the big studios. They were kept on a tight leash. They could not run their mouths and endanger the studio profits.
That system needs to come back....
These people can do nothing except project their own psychoses onto others.
Yep. I am an Old School Trekkie...and this is now too much. It will also make going to sci-fi conventions in Baltimore undoable. Maryland is overrun with libtards, and I seen them on the discussion panels.
My brother works for Paramount. I wonder what he thinks.
I have never watched (other than the original) TV versions of Star Trek. I did try, found them to be dumbfoundingly boring.
To add Trump-hating to the mix will not make this TV series more popular. All but the most deranged of Trump haters are getting bored with the constant spewing of anti-Trump hate.
I watch this instead.

CBS (clinton Broadcasting System) SUCKS!!!!
It sucked in the 1990s when it took on the Christian Serbs, and it sucks now when it takes on Americans who support our President’s MAGA platform!!!!
Some things never change!!!! PHOOEY!!!!
With Seth MacFarlane contributing to it, it will also go in a politically correct direction.
That's funny!........Insipid, but funny!................
This surprisingly good!
The stories are good and the characterizations are well done. In fact their production quality (particularly the sets!) are better then ST:TOS!
The moment that I heard how PC it was going to be, I knew it wasn’t going to do well. It will last perhaps a month and then fail horribly.
END CBS 100YR MONOPOLY
Give Spectrum monopoly to TEA Party group.
Solutions are simple.
‘New?????? How can this be new? Nothing original ever comes out of Hollywood anymore. I turned off my TV at least a year ago and haven’t missed it yet.
Oh thanks Hollywood for making sure I won’t turn on my TV to watch this piece of Trump bashing. I bet it doesn’t last one season.
Speak English, man.
That's not hip... it's stupid.
