Donald Trump’s secretary of defense James ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis appeared to suggest those who did not serve the country were “a bunch of pussies.” The retired general made the comments at an address to members of the U.S. Navy last week, and the transcript was made available by the Defense Department website this week.
“You will have some of the best days of your life and some of the worst days of your life in the U.S. Navy, you know what I mean?" Mattis told the troops at an event at Naval Base Kitsap, Washington.
"That means you're living. That means you're not some pussy sitting on the sidelines, you know what I mean, kind of sitting there saying, ‘Well, I should have done something with my life,'” he said.
"Because of what you're doing now, you're not going to be laying on a shrink's couch when you're 45 years old, say ‘What the hell did I do with my life?'" he added. "Why? Because you served others; you served something bigger than you."
The defense secretary said he had taken the decision to accept the cabinet role because he wanted to continue serving the armed forces, in what he said was “the best paycheck in the world.”(continued)

General Mattis is a grunt at heart. He is a leader...he’s a Marine (retired). If he want’s to use the pussy word when talking to the troops....so be it. I would rather a man with principles say stuff like that, than, let’s say, John Effing Kerry, a Vietnam war hero, just ask him. Kerry’s large chin would be out of alignment if he talked like the General.
I never could understand that rule. Trust me you’d have been 180 and rock solid after boot camp.

The liberal mind lies to itself, so of course it also lies to everyone else. The truth becomes something to avoid because it forces the liberal mind to deal with or accept information or constraints that it does not accept.
No person who love lies and who is hostile to truth can inherit the Kingdom of God. But if there is no God, then that is a moot point, and a good lie is just as valid as solid truth.
Our military service is sorely in need of a complete overhaul.
Get rid of the queers and gender confused.
Get rid of everything PC and restore the basic qualification standards to what they were 50 years ago and get the women off the front lines. Not even the Nazis allowed women in front line combat roles. Women in combat is a concept the commies promoted.
I feel the same way. When I was growing up many many were veterans. I loathe the fact that repeatedly the same guys were sent back to the ME over and over. That is/was grossly unfair.
Really? You think that it was just fine that able-bodied young men, the same age as us, should have avoided military service while we were fighting a war?
I'll never forget how it felt to come back on leave from combat in Vietnam and see all those guys. just standing around enjoying the day, watching football or something.

Yeah.... I was Regular Army from 65 to 68... I remember taking riot training at Fort Bliss... Maybe if I had a chance to skewer a hippie or two with that bayonet I could feel a little better about what that generation is doing to our nation now... Those shit birds are the Lawyers and politicians of today...
