Lou Diamond Phillips | Henry a.k.a Standing Bear |
Adam Bartle | Ferg |
Louanne Stephens | Ruby |
Bailey Chase | Branch Connally |
The first time it went anti-Christian, I dumped it like a hot potato.
I thought it actually a-religious and more into native American spiritualism, which is in part the thematic plot of the series set in Wyoming.
Lou Diamond Philips is the PERFECT actor for the Henry role.
Is this this September season the last season that will be made and on Netflix? I really have enjoyed it.
Father Brown is on Netflix? That is great! I will look for it.
Finished this season’s House of Cards and looking forward to the final season.
Watching Bluebloods, but can only watch a few each week.
I could interlace Father Brown. Thanks for mentioning it.
The books were not up to the series although I did appreciate the humor in the book I did read.
Love Longmire and will now have to check out the Father Brown series. Thanks for the recommendation.
The characterizations of all the characters are well drawn and the plots are sufficiently credible.
I too will regret when the series ends.
Maybe it’s a “flash back.”
The evil people are so damned evil it’s amazing. Henry Standing Bear is my favorite character; he has great integrity.
Humor, yes. Promiscuity, no.
True dat, about the evil present. I just really hate that old man Connally was played by McRaney. He does play bad villains but I loved him as Simon and as Major Dad.
Husband and I watched every episolde of Longmire. Every character in it has been excellent. I love the way it interfaces with Native Americans which is something we almost never see in a TV show. Father Brown is on our queue. For once Netflix backed a show that left us yearning more, not less of it.
It is supposed to be Wyoming, but is actually filmed in New Mexico and Las Vegas, IIRC. I believe the in-town main street location is Vegas.
We’ve watched since the beginning. Last week we started to re-watch the series to prepare for the new/last season. “Longmire” is the reason we have Netflix.
All the characters are good, but we hate Vic! Too bad McRaney was such an evil dude; he’s one of mny favorite actors.
Las Vegas, NM
It’s east of Santa Fe.
McRaney is good at evil. He was in “24”. He used to be a good guy in Simon and Simon.
I still have Red Rock and Man in the High Castle on Amazon to look forward to...
I actually enjoy the books much more, far more depth in the characters in the books and more humor.
Me and the wife loved it when it was on A&E and got Netflix just to watch it when it moved, but the move was not for the better in our estimation, Longmire got too dark and broody with Walt seeming to become paranoid about everyone almost to the point of madness. The episode where he went to the bar and started the fight with Henry over his delusions was it for us and we stopped watch.
