House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and other top Democrats put a brave face on Wednesday morning after a disappointing loss in the Georgia special election, yet there is no disguising the unhappiness in the party ranks.
There is no challenge to Pelosis leadership, and none is going to happen at this point, said numerous Democrats. But its clear frustration is growing with the longtime Democratic leader following the extensive losses Democrats have suffered over the past half-decade.
And the fact that Republicans spent millions of dollars on TV ads tying Democratic hopeful Jon Ossoff to Pelosi and the brand of progressive policies she represents shows that she will once again be an issue for Democratic challengers in the very districts that the party needs to win to make her speaker again.
Some Democrats want to replace Pelosi atop their caucus, as they have since last Novembers poor showing at the polls; they say there is no way to get back in the majority with her as their leader. And others who backed her in last years leadership challenge have now flipped their stance.
I think youd have to be an idiot to think we could win the House with Pelosi at the top, said Rep. Filemon Vela (D-Texas), who supported Pelosi in her last leadership race. Nancy Pelosi is not the only reason that Ossoff lost. But she certainly is one of the reasons.

Million...MILLIONS, I tell ya.
No matter the national view of Pelosi, her SF constituents will keep electing as long as she remains vertical.
She’s doing fine. Sure she thinks George Bush is president from time to time but who hasn’t made that mistake?
What difference does it make? Look at that schmuck they chose to run the DNC. As long as they keep picking looney leaders, we can run with that. Granted, the new toad won’t have Nancy’s track record, but it won’t take long to expose the extremism.
Cue the photo of Pelosi wielding a giant gavel.
Are you joking, I lived in her district 15 years, not one single person I met ever voted for her
I’m gonna miss her - the ticks, the twitches, the crazy eyes, the bizarre statements....
Democrats are losing because the government school system aka pagan socialist factories have not yet created enough Bernie voters to overcome the Real American vote. Give it time. Most self-styled conservatives are frankly too ignorant and/or foolish to put an end to that trend. In a generation, either the R’s will be frank socialists or they will lose.
But the ‘leaders’ on the Left don’t want to get rid of Pelosi because they could be called MISOGYNISTS! And of course, we will have to tie that label onto them.....it’s only fitting!
The drunk with power witch looked like she was having a freaking orgasm in that picture.
The GOP should consider throwing one to give Pelosi a win.
The Democrats should not change their leadership. Ever. All the Democrat problems are due to the unfairness of Republican politics. The Democrats need to work harder at getting out their message through the anti Progressive Mainstream Media that all the population trusts to give them crucial information. Democrats will resume their winning ways if they can sufficiently denigrate White men and Christians and gunowners. Democrats have been entirely to easy on these nefarious groups and has not sufficiently cowed them.
When you have so many failures in the real world, you’d be fired. Nancy should be fired. The entire Democrat Party Leadership is in complete ruin.
Um, they’re democrats; they’ll keep voting for her even when she’s horizontal and six feet under.
Nasty Botoxly is exactly where she should be, she’s doing SUCH a good job leading the Rat party in the House. Why would anyone want to get rid of her?
LMAO
If we had any sense of compassion we would plead with Pelosi’s daughter to find “A Place For Mom”!
>>”Nancy Pelosi is not the only reason that Ossoff lost. But she certainly is one of the reasons.<<
C’mon you know it was misogyny!!!
Oh, wait...
Damn. Some of them are waking up. We need to hurry up and Primary out as many Establishment Republicans that we can this year and next year. This window of opportunity will not stay open forever.
