LOS ANGELES (AP) — Carol Burnett typically spends her mornings doing crossword puzzles with her husband, but the comedy legend could return to a full-time work schedule if the pilot she recently shot for ABC becomes a regular series.
In “Household Name,” produced by Amy Poehler, Burnett plays an eccentric, aging movie star who arranged to continue living in her old mansion even though the home’s new owners, a young family, have already moved in....

I would love to see Carol Burnett come back! Probably the best comedienne ever.
It would be refreshing to see some actual comedy. I can’t imagine Carol Burnett doing or being part of anything raunchy or particularly political.
The script reminds me of the movie Sunset Boulevard.
The last role I saw her in was on “Glee”.
She played a former/present Nazi hunter in her role, trying to reconcile with her daughter, I think.
Well, you don’t know how people will change as the years go by. But she always had decent sensibilities and a genius for comedy. Hopefully, neither have left her.
(I can’t think of Carol Burnett, without thinking of Tim Conway’s ‘Elephant Story’. It’s my husband’s favorite, and I go into painful stitches every time we watch it. I’m grinning like a Cheshire cat now, and have to go to bed!)

Harvey Korman is deceased, unfortunately.
I thought he was great in “Blazing Saddles” and, of course, on the old “Carol Burnett Show.”
‘Blazing Saddles’ is the second most hilarious movie I’ve ever watched. My husband and I often remark as to how it would be impossible to make that movie today - more’s the pity :-(

She had a couple of guest appearances on Hawaii 5-0 in 2016 and 2013.
I’m sure it’s a “Sunset Boulevard” takeoff. Burnett did a fantastic Norma Desmond in a classic sketch on her old show.
